Useless Emotions

Useless Emotions
Tied. Tangled.
Trapped within a world of judgment and suffocation
You want him, do you not?
Or is it only the ghost of the past, haunting your waking moments and your restless
slumber
The question, still unanswered, brings more to mind, the answer a whispering
scream.

Your swallowed within a blackened sea of self deprivation, and self awareness
You know he is the one your heart cries out for,
Yet you let your own cowardly repulsion push you away from his outstretched hand
Or is it even outstretched?
Easily as breathing, he could see past you, ignoring you as you ignore your soul’s
desire
The identity of who you are
That’s what they all do, do they not?

Lying. Hiding.
It’s the inner cage of turmoil that smothers your fiery desire
The fire within your soul burns for his, but finds the message unanswered. Unknown.
The key, why it’s always been the truth
Fear. Reluctance.
It keeps the savagery of raw emotion in check
From breaking free from the restraints of society
It keeps you filled with blackened rage
Useless emotions.

Tied. Tangled
Life is nothing but a web in lies in which you’ve so intricately ensnared yourself within
The circus act you’ve so carefully calculated will come down
Tumbling. Crashing.
With the slightest motion to set the dominos falling
Your life around you will crumble slowly, if you deny this any longer

Revelation. Revolt.
You claim to be strong, why not prove your weightless words?
The suffocating circumstances they encompass you with would disappear, if only
Declare your love, put the raw emotions of entrapment to use
For it’s only with his fire satiating love you’ll find use for these
Useless emotions.
