Lazy Susan

She's the girl...
I left behind...
  The girl inside...
Who blew your mind...

  The girl without...
A care or thought...
  The girl who left...
With a broken heart...

  She's grown older...
He's grown cold...
  Their life together...
Remains untold...

  Their dreams and passions...
Exist in time...
  Forgotten feelings...
She longs to find...

  Extinguished fires...
From a lovers flame...
  With charcoaled ashes...
Now who's to blame...

  His love had scared her...
So she ran away...
  But, dying inside her...
Was a longing to stay...

  Love's what she wanted...
But, love doesn't last...
  Because love is a shadow...
That dwells in the past...

Human Zoo

Everybody's dying...
No one is safe...
  So many changes...
And, problems to face...

  In a world gone mad...
What can you do..?
  Except sit back and watch...
Like humans at a zoo...

  The animals are dying...
Soon trees will be extinct...
  The gas prices are rising...
And, war is on the brink...

  The president is a liar...
And, we the people have no say...
When did things get so messed up..?
It hasn't always been this way...

We should of stayed in the forests...
We shouldn't of left our caves...
We shouldn't of raped the Earth like this...
Because now there is nothing left to save...

Lullabye For Aimie

Quiet sadness...
Locked up inside...
  Her eyes tell a story...
A sweet lullabye...

  Outside her window...
A make believe world...
  Talking to angels...
She's a lost little girl...

  Yesterdays daydreams...
a picturesque sky...
 With shadows that haunt her...
Sweet, soft lullabye...

Never coming down from the clouds...
She is lost...
  A never ending daydream...
Reflecting her loss...

  Crying out for freedom...
She looksto the stars...
  A lullabye for Aimie...
Don't forget who you are...
