Sucking away life
Gorge until nothing in
Leeches left dry

Kneeling at birth
Rise a symbol to all
Standing Eternal

Pass

Shadows creep by
Silent the cold eerie night
But the sun still shines

Roses dance alone
Death chills a breeze
Babies born anew

Rouse

Disguised behind lies
Cowardly gone forever
Deception lives on

I Am a Brother

I wake up knowing I am loathed hated and despised,
I go to bed knowing I am loved protected and thoroughly constructively criticized,
We fight and argue as if to death while screaming what we never mean,
Our laughs together never end and all whilst we silently agree to reconvene,
Your statuesque demeanor only holds envy for my isolated unique suffering,
So social you glide above me with such ease as your unconditional love is gently smothering,
Oh mortal jealousy clasping as chains around my ankles like I am its slave,
I never forget to get under your skin or agitate your every nerve 'til you beg to be saved,
Yet first and foremost in your mind you look out for me and I for you as told by father
and mother,
I glimmer with hope and swell with pride just when you call me "Brother".

Funerals, Weddings, and Birthdays

Three in number are the so valued events in modern life,
Yet each are harbors of different types of strife,
Each having a separate sharpness although all are part of the same knife,
Opening with the deceitful crown known as a birthday,
In youth it is all you await to say,
With treasured time constantly passing your age turns it into just another loathed day,
Weddings so vile and juvenile,
The average conjoining of two families for love of two who must find a way cause they be
with child,
When divorce happens perhaps next time you'll know in the beginning it's not worth while,
The truth-teller and savior of this winding game called life is only our tomb,
Funerals are our cradle and our release to death the truest womb,
Pray it comes swifter than any lightning and twice as powerful as any thunder's boom,
Each are simple and basic facts,
Each in their way cause enough for an all out war but absent are those who are actually
prepared to attack,
Until that long awaited rebellious revolution to the darkest embraces I shall slip back.

Goodbye Happiness

Another sunset;
As the light is consumed by invading darkness my thoughts silence and the solemn candle
flame is lit;
Aspirations, Inspirations, Determination, Fortification,  all eluding without a natural fit;
Warm becomes the sought embrace of well deserved acceptance;
Yet, cold envelops the vengeful karmic bittersweet fruit of penance;
Dashing away at all the "What If's" and with them the resistant heart of the hope that
breeds independence;
So long, to a future of "possibility" and "probability";
Restful are those with new found comprehension of true inevitability;
As powerful as idealism of Utopian peace is, fools disbelieve that torn in two are its
seemingly tranquil grounds;
Since in this absence of faith which has broken the fragile shell of peaceful life, and
filled it with a quiet darkness;
With no longer a love for the ever-glorious moonlit night, my mind bid farewell to woeful
plight, And from my lips "Goodbye To Happiness".

Blind

To truly see the eyes of an onlooker must be opened,
As for so long they are closed shut,
Complications which leave the mind stuck in a repetitive rut,
The blind continue on,
Even though they are unaware their own deception until all hope is gone,
The man or woman like a child crumples to a tortured tear,
Everything stripped from you blackness now your only dear,
All consumed in a searing abruptness,
Now intoxicated with fear the mind slips into deep twisted corruptness,
Done with normality,
Given up on finding reality,
Finally scraping bottom thou is loose from the bind,
With your torture in place no longer are you BLIND.

Tired

Must I stay awake,
Must I always avoid those blatant mistakes,
Should I truly banish the horrors lurking in my slumber,
Should I again devour fear like flame scorching lumber,
Life ever so torturous,
Leaving my mind twisted and monstrous,
Reality fails to extinguish my will to fight,
All I seek it the embrace of a rest filled night,
Tired is the soul,
Which has been hurriedly forced into growing old,
Why does God not pity a feeble heart and show mercy with a single brush stroke,
Instead a slowing curse to live slower and choke,
What purpose am I to fill,
What is still needed so I may gain Earth's immersion atop my favorite hill,
Wretched demonic angels whispering while having me surrounded my lucid conscious their toy
for breaking,
What barrier keeps them out and away from a harvest of a soul ripe for the taking,
Life lessons and quotes repeat and repeat like an evil choir,
When will this body and mind be given a tranquil yet permanent retire?
