Grandmother

grandmother

if there are roses in heaven
will you send one down just for me
so i can hold it close to my heart
where you will always be
i will lay it on my pillow each night
as the angels tuck me in
i will now that you are near me and feel your pressence once again
i am thankful for all the years you were there to help me through

Damaged But Unbroken

Standing perfectly still yet torn in different directions.
As stare at a girl with a shattered reflection.

I took the memories swept them under the rug.
Did not understand what you called love.

What do you do when your completely broken?
You cannot replace innocents that has been stolen.

Haunted by secrets buried over the years.
Realization replaces numbness with pain and fear.

Somehow the truth has become entwined.
Misinterpretation concealed the lies.

I turn around face and deal with my past.
Tears finally fall as reality is unmasked.

I know its not my fault still I am riddled with guilt.
I will never understand and cant change how I feel.

Once a perfect girl you took advantage.
Now in her place is a women damaged.

I pick up the pieces left with imperfections.
Marks left behind from your life lessons

But in the end you will never break me
The only thing u did was teach me.

SUCCESS AWAITS

Journey ahead with passion and fire,
Believe in yourself, for greatness you possess,
Courageous in spirit, a leader in your stride
Aim high, let your dreams inspire,
Overcome obstacles, Rise above the rest,
Make a difference, let your impact abide

Optimism fuels you with every test,
Reach for the stars, Reach higher and better
Let Grit and determination be your guiding light
Ambitious are driven, with all you’re might
Never give up, keep pushing through
Success awaits you it is true.

The path may be winding, with shadows in sight,
As dawn always follows, chasing away night.
Embrace every challenge, a lesson to hold,
For within every struggle, a story unfolds.

With a heart full of kindness, and a hand to lend,
Together we raise a force that transcends.
For in unity's embrace, our spirits ignite,
In addition, dreams take on wings, bathed in hopeful light.

Whether it's scaling a mountain, or writing a rhyme,
Planting a seed, or standing the test of time,
Let your purpose ignite, a fire within,
Embrace the journey, and the beauty it brings.

So rise up, brave soul, let your spirit take flight,
The world awaits the brilliance of your guiding light.
Go forth with purpose, with passion ablaze,
Chase your dreams, for life is a beautiful maze.

Victories echo, a testament won,
Lessons from stumbles help us become
Embrace every scar, a whisper of might,
For wisdom resides in the darkest of night.

No two journeys alike, each a vibrant display,
Embrace your own rhythm, and light up your way.
Let your voice resonate, a melody true,
The world needs your essence, uniquely you.

In the stillness within, a quiet might resides,
A well spring of courage, where confidence confides.
Trust the whispers of hope, the strength in your soul,
You are the author; your story is to unfold.

THROUGH TRIBULATIONS

Through storms we walk, through shadows deep
Where trials wake, and sorrows seep,

The road is rough, the path unclear,
Yet courage blooms despite the fear

Each stumble teaches, each fall refines,
In darkness, strength within us shines.

The heart may break, the spirit bend,
But hope endures, it will not end.

Through ire and rain, we rise rebuild,
A steadfast soul, with purpose filled.

For trials pass, as seasons do,
and brighter skies come into view.

   Through tribulations, life will show,
The depth we rise, the love we sow

contest for july 5th 2006

he was an ironist
hardened with pitiless cruelty and crudeness
she is a sculptress
shapeless assuming his spite
you will never shrink from this breakthrough
put your enthusiasm into that schedule
sanitise the musculus
decode her ordination
to squarely vex their corruptness

blackout

In this ¦¦¦¦¦¦ where each breath we ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ leads to
a new sorrow, it is better never to breathe an instant
¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ a cup of ¦¦¦¦ in hand. When the ¦¦¦¦¦¦ of
Aurora makes itself felt, arise and, ¦¦¦¦ after time, empty
the cup, ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ I have told ¦¦¦¦ this Dawn will breathe
for long, ¦¦¦¦ years when we no longer ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦

R I P Daddy

To the world, he was a strong, healthy man,
who kept moving forward despite the quiet battles he fought.
The last few years have brought heavy burdens and endless stress,
a weight he carried silently on shoulders that always tried to remain strong for us.

While his heart may have given out from the sheer pressure of this world,
the love inside that heart never faltered for a single second.
He poured everything he had into his life and his family,
giving until he had nothing left to give.

His sudden departure leaves a quiet stillness where his voice used to be,
but the wisdom he shared, the deep conversations we had,
and the practical guidance he left behind will never fade.

He is finally at peace, free from the heavy weight of this life,
and his strength now lives on through the children he raised.
A father’s love isn’t measured by how long he is here,
but by the depth of the footprints he leaves behind.

Though he left us far too suddenly and far too soon, his life was defined by resilience.
He faced immense pressure and stress in his final years, yet he kept showing up,
fighting through the minor health setbacks with a quiet determination.

His heart was so incredibly big that it carried the weight of the world,
and while that heart is now at rest, his spirit remains completely untouched.
We will honor him not by remembering the stress that took him,
but by practicing the life lessons, the strength,
and the integrity he instilled in us every single day.

Rest in peace, Dad your burdens are gone,
and your legacy is safe with us.

                                                               Micheal Nephew
Entered this world on May 18th, 1958
Left this world on May 21st, 2026
