First Page of My Untitled Story

** Summary: A high school boy finds happiness and love in a small, dreary town. Just when it seems like life can't get any better, he discovers that his new love interest may not be telling him everything about herself. As each of her secrets are unveiled, Destery finds himself in a difficult situation that he might not be able to pull himself out of. **

One:

It all started on a bleak, dreary Monday as the hearse slowly made it's way down Weeping Willow Street. Cautiously, it came to a stop in front of Melancholy High. Yes, the school looks exactly as it sounds- Sad. With it's old, deteriorating brick walls and splintery wood desks, MHS looks to be the king of all things pitiful. But as Destery Maddox climbed out of that God-awful car he spotted the one thing that made every guy's time there a little more bearable- Juliette Anderson. She was a dream with long, silky black hair and ice blue eyes that seemed as though they could see straight to your heart. For as long as he could remember, Destery had longed to caress her porcelain-like skin and to feel those soft, rose colored lips against his. Just one glimpse of that girl was enough to make his heart ache like no other. Followed by a heavy sigh, Des started up the crumbling front staircase. Just as he reached the door handle a delicate, almost transparent hand brushed against his. Mesmerized, his gaze ran from that hand up to the smiling face of none other than Juliette. "Hello.", She greeted him. "H-Hi", Des stammered back. Something strange was happening to him. His mouth became dry, Sweat soaked his palms and for not being a man of many words..He was truly at a loss. It was official- His heart was captured. And nothing could break the strong spell of love that was unknowingly cast upon him by that black-haired beauty. Or so it seemed.

Enemy

I'm slipping away,
I'm losing control,
Losing the fight
To regain my soul,
My heart is scarred,
My body is numb,
I look in the mirror
And see what I've become,
Nothing. A nobody,
Just a waste of space,
Not worth thinking about,
Can easily be replaced.
I begin to think,
All hope is gone,
No one can save me,
I can't carry on.
I'm trapped inside myself,
In my own lonely world,
There's no denying,
I'm no longer that girl,
The girl who sees
Beauty all around,
The girl who laughs
And hardly ever frowns.
That frown is now frozen,
Proof of the new me,
An enemy of myself...
And that's all I'll ever be.

My Heart and Soul

So far away from home
But somehow it just feels right
Like my heart has grown wings
And it has taken flight
When I'm with you
Everything falls perfectly into place
With my head resting on your chest
I can feel your heart's every pace
We're from two different worlds
 Completely different, Yet so alike
We've been too far too long
And now I'm here with you tonight
You're my one true love
My only one indeed
I've known since the first moment
That you're the only one I'll ever need
My heart and my soul
They'll always be yours
Please keep in mind
That I'll love you babe, forever and more

** Written for my love, David. We met online four years ago when we were thirteen years old..We just met in person two weeks ago and it has been the absolute best two weeks of my life **

First Kiss

This is the first kiss
Just a kiss isn't enough
I'm foolishly happy
Face lit up like the sun
Together in a sleeping bag
No one else's arms have made
Me feel this safe
Good to see your face again
A team of two
Promise not to go

Why

I hold my breath,
Wait for it to come again
Will it to be over with
Your rage is too strong
Your voice is too loud
I cower away
I don't make a sound
Your rant is relentless
Ripping into me
Tearing me down
Bit by bit
And no one's around
To save me
To hold me
And comfort me while I cry
No, No one knows
That every day
You kill me more inside...
Why?

Moving On

Wipe all your raindrop tears away
Forget the hurt and pain of yesterday
Patch up the hole in your broken heart
Give your life a brand new start
Try your best not to cry
Let joy once again fill your eyes
Look inside and search for the real you
Your sorrows and troubles will soon be through
Find peace within yourself
There's no point in trying to be someone else
Dream your own dreams, Wish upon stars
Eventually your faith will take you far
Remember one thing to help you cope:
All of these things only come with hope

The Doorway

Past The Doorway I See
My Whole Life Ahead Of Me
My Future Unfolds
With Treasures Untold
Walking Through This Place
Through The Dark
Corridors Of My Past
Shadows And Old Memories Lurk
In The Corners That Contain My Hurt
My Footsteps Slow And
They Come To A Stop
In Front Of A Brand New Door
That's Missing A Lock
Turning The Knob, A New World
Opens Up Before My Eyes
And I'm At A Loss Of Breath
Peace And Joy All Around Me
With No Suffering People Or Pain
Is Such A Wonderful Sight
I Am Happy Again
And Full Of Delight.
