Mom , I am pregnant !
The guy I had sex with told me he loved me
But really , I was just another one of his patients !
As you stand above me
And listen to these rhymes
I know you will feel as if you wasted your time
Please mom , I know I screwed up
But please be there with me when the doctor tells me to pee in the cup
I’m scared mommy , please !
Be there with me
Through it all
I’m scared to make the call
This was the day my life began to fall
“ Baby , I’m pregnant “
“ What , its probably not mine . Can’t be “
“ Listen to me “
“ Bye , I gotta go “
Now your world is lonely and depressing
No more school , all you will be doing is stressing
These troubles are the trouble you go through as teen when you tell your mother that you
are . . . . pregnant

Life cant be hard when you have people to be right by your side
I seem to be the only sad girl who cant seem to keep her head held high
A girl with a smile so vain
It feels like everyday it seems to rain
But through this poetry , I release my pain
In my eyes I am a African queen and nobody can take me off my throne
I know I have been judged in life but is it because of my skin tone ?
I’m like fire
I cant bring you satisfaction
But I can bring a distraction
To me , fire brings desire
These rhymes I bring are straight from the heart
So sad to know how something so strong can split apart

Been through the fire
Been called a liar
Been through the flood
But yet they judge me by my blood
Take a look into my eyes and tell me what you see
Heard the folks talk indeed about me
Don't know why they was ever called a team
But growing up I know I'm a girl whose about achieving her dreams
Take a look into my eyes and tell me what you see
I want you to see the young girl who I grew up to be
I'm tired of getting used and getting tossed
If you can't handle my looks , then get lost !

If ugly is what you think I am
Then so be it
Because a ugly girl whose about achieving her dreams

Ogechi Okwologu Poem
An adult who can’t see through an eyes of a child.
A baby who has not yet learned her ABC’s.
A teenager who is 16 going on 21.
A mother who is in need of desperate help.
A father who is constantly in and out of her life.
A small circle closing in on her like a crowd closing in on a fight.
A sophisticated caterpillar who is emerge like a butterfly.
A family full of deep dark explosive heartbreaking secrets.
A girl who so bad wants to let her voice be known
But does not know where to start, where to end.
With sorrow draining her deep within.
No matter how many times she tell this story.
No matter how many times you hear her story.
You will never understand.
You will never understand what she goes through.
What it takes to live her life.
What it takes to put a smile on her face.
What it takes to have a dream you are forced to not live.
What it takes to write this.
And what it takes to have a heart with a beat that can no longer beat.

I am bored with life
Sometimes I think of life as a knife
A weapon
Something that can cause self destruction
Nowadays , it hurts me to see all these females have abortions
Where are the dads ?
This life was all I had
Life is full of drama and pain
There’s a storm in my heart but it rains through my eyes
Remembering all the things my brother said to me leaves my world cold and dry
But as the strong girl I grew up to be, I know I can and will fulfill my dreams !
