The Golden Cord

The golden cord was forged long ago.
It cannot be broken or weakened,
though time and life may try.
Others do not realise how precious it is.
Between the sea and the sky,
in a place so sacred....
A blink of an eye in our time,
yet eternity's plan is everlasting.

The golden cord will remain forever.
It will endure and bring those lost together.
Never lost! Never alone!
Never despair, my friend,
for the echoes of the golden cord will be heard.
Just listen! ... A whisper! ...
"I'm Here!"

Precious Child

Oh, sweet child, you are precious,
too precious for words;
and the sky echoes up above.
When I look at the stars
in the darkest night,
with a whisper, I send you my love.

Although we are parted,
You'll always be here,
for I carry you in my heart.
When I look at the stars
in the darkest night,
with a whisper, I send you my love.

Meanwhile I will carry
the hope in my heart
that one day we will meet again,
until then I'll remember
and whisper your name.
These words will always remain:

Oh, sweet child, you are precious,
too precious for words,
and the sky echoes up above.
When I look at the stars
in the darkest night,
with a whisper,
I send you my love.

Homesick

Have you ever felt that you don't belong?
If you've ever wondered at feelings so strong.
A whispering breeze in the summer-time sun.
A yearning within you;
A longing to run.

My heart longs to be where the crystal streams flow.
I yearn for the meadows where buttercups grow.
Through cities and towns, or wherever I roam,
there's no sweeter place than the valleys of home.

Sometimes a stranger may smile knowingly,
or a bird singing sweetly high up in a tree.
Maybe a flower, a hedgerow or bush.
You're suddenly feeling lost
in the rush.

Cheer up, my heart, and be still, my mind.
One day you will be again with your own kind.
Meanwhile, remember that time waits for none,
so cherish each moment...
before it is gone.

Fond Memories

In the valleys of green,
where the sun sweeps the sky,
and the mountains swoop down to the sea.
I will never forget the sweet morning-time song,
that melody sung unto me.

Fond memories here in
my heart and my soul,
that I ever will cherish and hold,
of the times and the fun that
I've had through the years.
Those memories remind me of you.

In the birdsong my heart thrilled,
my spirits raised up.
The streamlet meandered in bliss.
I will never forget those meadow sweet days,
when sunlight the clover had kissed.

So when I am weary,
and down in my heart,
to the memories I hold dear I fly.
My soul is restored, I find peace once again.
I am content just to let clouds go by.

Springtime Echoes

Springtime brings the buds to life.
The echoes of days gone by.
Birdsong fills the air again,
and breezes softly sigh.

Oh! Where the ripening barley grew!
The echoes of long ago.
Meadows, streams and honey-bees.
Remember me when the breezes blow.

A memory now comes to mind,
echoing loud and clear.
I listen and hear your voice again
in the Springtime of the year.
