Nicole Strickland Poem
Where were you when I needed guidance
In a world where no one cares.
Where were you when I wanted you to
Protect me from my fears.
Where were you when I was made to lie
Down with a man I barely knew.
Where were you when I would've loved to hear
The sky not me should be blue.
Where were you when I prayed
This day will be better than before
Where were you. You left me alone.
To see my way through closed doors.
Where were you?

Nicole Strickland Poem
From the first glance inside of me
I smile as I hear your heart beat
So amazed and anxious to meet you
My King.
As I hold you in my arms
I pray for God to shield you from harm
An anointed spirit has come through me
My King
Grow tall my son. Let the wind guide you
Consume all you can. Walk with the heavens beside you
Offer all that you are. Show all that you bring
My King.
Let your presence shine in the midst of darkness
Don't fear. Be strong. God has already grown your harvest
Make your story a song for the angels to sing
My King.
Although young in age my King
There's a man growing in your soul my King
Preparing for a journey of life to unfold
For...
All to know you
All to learn from you
All to seek in you
My King

Nicole Strickland Poem
If you'd flip through the pages of my novel
You'd see happiness, heartache, sunny days, storm filled nights.
The picture I'd display would be of a virtuous woman.
Hair flowing, eyes gleaming, head up to the clouds.
Holding two of God's most precious blessings
Hope to my left. Joy to my right.
My beginning would have you praying, wondering, smiling, crying,
To reach its end.
My words would be written in many colors, fonts, styles, and
languages all from the same spiritual pen.
The core of this novel is soulful, pure, thankful, and grace.
It's filled with mercy from above.
The story of a girl, a woman, a wife, a mother
An image of God's truth, His faith, His love.

Nicole Strickland Poem
I believe only half of you
For your other half is lost
In someone else's arms
In someone else's heart
I know only half of you
The other is unexplained
It's left only to my imagination
And there it seems to remain
I hate only half of you
Your other my love is there
Waiting to take over your
Mind, body, soul, and air
I see only half of you
The rest is far away
And I'll hold on to this hope I have
To meet all of you one day.
