Love is a word abused by those who use it
Thinking they know the meaning
But are confused by it
Thought they had this feeling
In their heart but are blind from the world around
Like Helen Keller they cant even hear the sound
of the beat your heart makes when it meets the one of your dreams
Love is showing affection
Ladies is love what you should say about your coach purse to match your collection
Men is love the cherry on top for the girl who gives you an ********
and is love a greater than plus 3 to represent a heart that beats
giving it out like its a handshake
when it should really wait
but you insist its love at first sight
and it has only been 3 months and this guy is mr. right
but open your eyes and see love a verb you put up high in sky
screaming you are mine until the end of time
Love is a word that makes you speak truth not one white lie

I sit in my living room by the dim light
on this lonely night
watching the fire burn
listen to the dryer turn
Wondering what my roommates dream
hoping they will see tomorrow brings new day and offering
but for me its today this lonely night
what will it bring me a scare and a fright
Then bust in the cops with a gun pointed at my head
yelling "FREEZE SON OR YOU'RE GOING TO DROP DEAD"
I drop to my knees and put my hands to the sky
and cry aloud "I don't want to die"
The cop screams " Where's the body and drugs kid
you know what you did"
"No I don't sir what did I do
to disapprove you"
"Nothing" he softly whispers
as he pulls the trigger
BANG BANG
two bullet shots to my head
all of a sudden I awake from the dead
The cops were gone and no one in sight
back to this lonely night

Who are you to tell me no
What I should be and where I should go
I'm going to do what I want to do
and be who I want to be
I'm going to the top
I'm not going to stop
until my name is famous
I'll say it with confidence
I'm not afraid and I live with no fear
if I fail that means success is near
the finish line is close
stand up and give me a toast
Everyone laughed and called me a joke
and you doubted me the most
I called you friend, family, even brother
and you dis-respect me like I'm some other...guy
with no feelings or rights
NO, who are you to tell me different
and what to do with my life
I don't want to act and I dont want to sing
but like Martin Luther King I have a dream

When I am thirsty you fill my cup
When I am afraid you cover my eyes
When I fall down you pick me up
When I am alone you are by my side
When you are happy I will keep those smiles
When you are angry I will calm you down
When you are weak I will carry you a 1000 miles
When you are asleep I will not make a sound
I love you big sis so very much
that a million words can't explain
I love you little sis like my 5th grade crush
cause life without you wouldn't be the same

Fear is a feeling for those who are afraid
Fear is an excuse for those who walk away
Fear will haunt you until your 6 feet under
Fear will make you wonder
"What if" will follow you if you have fear
but fear will leave you when God is near
Look to the heavens and thank the Lord
pray to Him and you will have fear no more
