Sharmekia Grey Poem
Just beneath the cover i imagine i am safe!
Not having to worry about pain,shame or issues!
Because i'm so engulfed it makes it so comfortable and so easy to hide!
So convient i don't have to worry about pride because its so safely tucked away!
Don't have to face the fact that while i'm crying and slowly dying!
This false sense of security is just a temporary hiding place where i can put on my
brave face!
At times i might appear to have it altogether but just beneath the look i'm a "Jacked
Up Hot Mess"!
As i slowly began to peel away layers i finally find me!

Love is more than just a mere feeling.
Love is being intertwined mind,body,and spirit.
Love is pure without restrictions and unconditional compassion.
Love is caring enough to hold someone accountable.
Love is giving the very best part of you.
Love is helping someone else besides yourself flourish and eventually reach their potential.
Love is forgiving and never unending.
Love is being patient while God does the rest.

Sharmekia Grey Poem
As I hold on to this rope it represents the chains I hold inside my mind.
I am bound by every thread longing to be free.
With every step I take binds the threads of images of pictures I see good or bad.
When I discover who I am and was born to be i shall be free.
I now realize that I have the power to walk in my authority and say no more to the weights of negativity.
As I know now that I am free and they have no power over me.
