Jamie Kares Poem
Every night I, crawl in my bed
The lights are off so, it’s too dark to see
I slip under the covers and,
Hope to find my goddess lying next to me …
I know her so well,
Yet,
I don’t know her name
I fall asleep at night,
And,
The dream is always the same
I reach out toward her,
To,
Feel her warm embrace
I get so near and close,
Then,
She disappears with grace
I wake up in the morning,
Her,
Face becomes just a memory
I’ll search for her to-day,
I’ll,
See what’s there for me
I walk through the streets
I,
Push my way through the crowd
But how can I find her,
If,
I’ve no name to call out loud
The beauty in my dreams torments me so much
I want her to hold me but there’s no way to touch
I know I’ll love again when I dream
But my waking life is torture, or so it seems
I’ll know I’ve found her when her eyes meet my sight
Until that day, I’ll dream every night

Jamie Kares Poem
Blue jewels, so precious and perfect
Underwater, shining in the sea
Just where, are you traveling to?
Upon shore, to be given out for free
Listen now, the sirens are singing
Birds flying, what news do they bring
Everyone quiet now,
She’s coming down,
All around,
Carefully cleansing my skin...
Setting sail, leaving town on a ship
Out there, where the land is all blue
Fortunes, of untapped potential
Diamond beaches, are waiting for you
Blue spirits, dancing with the grains
Pure elation, flowing freely from the mind
Fluttering cherubs,
Down they come,
Invisible to some,
Pierce-me with- your arrows…

Jamie Kares Poem
I once heard a man who played the blues,
Whose voice told of unhappy news
His old lady left him at heartache hotel.
Hit the bottle to forget her womanly smell
Played his guitar with sunken eyes,
Strummed the chords that told of goodbyes
From within him a beautiful song arose,
But it was around him that a quiet crowd arose
They listened to every word he sang,
And heard the strings when they rang
No one dared to make a sound
The woes of his lost love filled the air around
They all loved him for what he wrote
A brokenhearted poem with a musical note
And there were only two who hated the song
The man, and the woman he had sung of all along
She stood in the back and saw those who listened
People with tears in their eyes that glistened
And although she was deep within the crowd,
Her only company was the voice of the blues, heard so loud
Realized the story told of her leaving
The pain she caused, his drunken grieving
The blues player and the woman cried with everyone
But the tears wouldn’t stop even after the song was done
Sings the tale of the sorrow of a broken heart
How sad it is, to hear of a love gone apart

Jamie Kares Poem
I love,
The way you smoke your cigarettes and you’re,
So pretty,
I wanna fall in love with you but,
The sun doesn’t shine till midnight;
So won’t you help me get my head right?
It’s a sure thing that I have my eye on you
I know,
That I have yet to win you over but,
Do know,
I am sure to make you smile and,
Sooner or later you’ll fall in deep;
The bright moon out will sing us asleep
It’s true; I have an eye on you
Someday,
You will love me so damn dearly even though,
To-day,
You are thinking differently but,
I think you’re bound to change your mind;
Maybe not now, it’s only a matter of time,
Oh yes, soon enough, you’re gonna be mine …

Jamie Kares Poem
Night after Days and Days after Nights
Romancing the Wish,
Your angel touch will soothe my skin
But the Moon and Clouds and Stormy Sun
They bring in Lust and Fear
And it never happens, I never win
Wake in the morning with a withering hope
Rise out of bed
What faces of yours will I see today?
Tomorrow, the potential smolders
Smokes all the words,
And I am left alone with nothing to say

Jamie Kares Poem
Four seasons lived
Four seasons of smiles and tears
Four seasons of heartfelt heartbreak, complete in a year
So many things have happened,
Since four long seasons ago
Made bridges and burned bridges
Learned things we didn't know
The ones who carried on throughout,
Always by your side
Who lent you a warm shoulder,
For cold nights when you cried
You shared with them experiences,
That are now kept and treasured so dear
Emotions and feelings and good times with bad
You lived and shared for a year
With all the laughter that echoed
And the tears that eyes swelled
After everyone's gone
No hard feelings are held
And now it's come full circle
Four seasons have returned to you
People may fade and memories dim
But what was shared will always be kept true
