Traci Brennan Poem
Be patient with me
And give me a chance
I,too, want to join in life's dance
Don't take my silence
As not being "all there"
I am beautiful and real
With so much to share
Be patient with me
I have feelings and dreams
Just like you do
If I asked you to trade places
Would you really want to?
Remember that when you look at me
I need you to see all that I can be
I need you to help me open doors
So that my life can be mine and yours
I'm a beautiful child
Locked in a place
Where I'm forced to express
All my feelings with my face
My face very simply states
"Look - I'm an angel in waiting"
Please don't stop dreaming for me
It would be devastating
Love me and touch me
That makes me real
I need the chance to express
All that I feel
Be patient with me
I want the chance too
To do all of the things
That other children do

Traci Brennan Poem
I have such sympathy
for you who choose to squander
unforgotten words
and hatred
and hurt
you who consider yourself
worthy enough to place
the blame
you who have the power
within your soul
to cast away
those of whom
you do not see fit
that which you do not
believe to be
right or proper
where did you aquire the right
to decide whether
I
or anyone else
besides yourself
is right
or wrong

Traci Brennan Poem
The soul
that harbors
the ghost
that haunts me
must be tired
of hearing
me whine
of the love to be
spoiled
by the ghost
of love past
and the passion
to be gained
by love lost

Traci Brennan Poem
Imagine a world
Where the words you hear
Make you stop
And fight back a tear
Imagine a world
Where a Dad has to face
The pain and suffering
Which he cannot erase
Imagine a world
Where a Dad loves his girl
To him she is always
A most beautiful pearl
Imagine a world
Where a Dad he must try
To always be strong
Never to cry
Imagine a world
Where a Dad has to pray
For his beautiful girl
To turn out okay
Imagine a world
Where a Dad rarely hears
Wished for words
To help ease his fears
Imagine a world
Where a Dad so full of love
Was surely sent
from up above
Imagine a world
Where a Dad could be free
To know all the joys
Having a daughter should be
