Get the Glory

I see the devistation,
In the world today
I hope and pray within my heart,
That God sends peace along the way

So many people hurting,
Children lost not found
Illness and death,
Lurking all around

Katrina was the name,
Of the storm that changed all
The rain that fell, the wind that blew,
The trees that did fall

Then after the rain,
Came heartache and strife
Admidst the turmoil and trial,
In everyones life

Those that live,
Will tell the story
How only God's grace,
Should get the glory

Many Years Ago

Many years ago,
I use to wake and say
Lets get up early in the morning,
On a chilly Christmas day

Now the years have faded,
Older I became
Yet somehow in this cycle,
Year after year is the same

Running round in circles,
Shopping throughout town
Hurrying to drop off,
Gifts all around

Then it really happens,
Christmas is finally here
But oh dear God I'd forgotten,
It will return next year...
