Zack Chambers Poem
I open my eyes and all I see is a sea of emotion in front of me
The cries of a baby, fresh from the womb, letting mommy know she needs fed soon
The tears of a toddler, barely turned three, with blood dripping froom a scrape on her knee
The laughs of a child just turned six, her smile lightens up all her birthday pics
The curiosity of a child just turned ten, who suddenly becomes more interested in men
The pleas of a child just thirteen, who just yells at you "Why not?!" and "Your mean!"
The pride in the eye of a father, watching the graduation of his teenage daughter
The radiant glow of a fathers' smile as he walks his daughter down the aisle
The happiness on a fathers' face as he gives his grandchild a warm embrace
The relief upon an old mans' brow as he turns to life and throws in the towell
I close my eyes, breath one last breath, then open my arms and embrace death
I am not scared, am not alone, I have memories of my friends, family, and home
As I say my last goodbye, I want you to smile and not to cry
And live your life with the greatest devotion, and open your eyes to the sea of emotion
.

Im living a book. So are you.
Tomorrow is a new me. Tomorrow is a new you.
But there is a tomorrow.
Im living a book. Today I turned a page. Or a leaf in a tablet. A leaf
I turned over a new leaf. And let me say "What a relief!"
Life is a book. A very long, very interesting, very confusing book.
Storys you've shouldn't have read, and some that deserve a second look
Dramas, tragedies, harlequins, and poetry,
Biographies, comedies, and even fiction unfortunately
But I enjoy to read and to share the stories
Of all the past failures and glories.
I wake up every day and say "Zack, why are you happy?'
He smiles and responds"Bc Ive been a daddy.
Ive been a friend, an enemie, been loved, been hated
Been turned into an ******* by women Ive dated.
Been turned into Cassanova by women Ive loved
Been kicked, punched, massaged and rubbed
Ive been happy, been sad. Ive laughed and Ive cried.
Ive had loved ones been born. Ive had loved ones that have died.
Ive gone days without sleeping and Ive slept for days
Ive paid for doing "jobs" and Ive had jobs that pays.
Ive been proud of other people and been told I make them proud
Ive lived my life in silence and Ive lived my life aloud.
Ive done a lot of things, theres a lot of things I haven't done.
But the answer to your question Zack is Im happy bc life is fun.
It has its ups and downs, and even some twist and turns
But I love it with a passion. So much, my heart, it burns.
And I know like every great ride it must come to an end.
The author of my book must set down his pen.
And my book will prolly just sit on a shelf collecting dust
bc to be honest, my book is kind of a bust.
But Im breezing right through it with a smile on my face
Flipping through pages like its a speed reading race.
Reading new stories each and every day
Even becoming a character in other peoples' plays'.
But all in all, if you sit and you look
All life really is is one big book.

I hate feet but I like my feet.
They are the only two feet for me.
And since they are a foot apiece, they are, indeed, two feet.
And though they may only be two feet they stand over six feet tall
And they may have arch supports but sometimes it feels like they're world supports
My feet tell a story and the stories told on these feet are my feats
Oh yes I love feats
Everyone accomplishs feats and every feat is great
And whats great about accomplishing a feat is that you dont have to have feet!
But you do have to go a few more feet to go that extra mile
And take a step back to appeciate the small things and smile
So yes I love feats I love them all
Because even without feet, when you accomplish a feat, you stand tall.

The hours tick by, dont know when, dont know why
But sleep will come
I know it eludes me. Lies hidden in the darkness
I go to the darkness to find it, but its not there.
Oh wait. Yes it is. Its over there.
No. No it isn't.
Ok. Now Im getting a little pissed.
COME BACK SLEEP! Your severely missed.
It seems here lately we only get minutes, not hours
What happened to the love that was ours
We used to be so close. Spend all day together
Now your never around. No matter the weather.
Rain. Sleet. Snow. Hurricanes. Tornadoes. Blizzards.
Am I in Oz and your the effing wizard.
Well heres clicking the heels and implying the need.
Come back sleep. I beg and I plead.
But your nowhere to be found. You don't answer my cry.
What have I done to make you treat me this way. WHY?
Did I abuse, overuse, not utilize you or criticize you
Because if I did. Im sorry. I dont despise you.
I love you. I need you. I tearing apart at the seams
(alarm goes off) Wow. I have some weird dreams.
