You Were There When No One Else Was

You were there when I was blind
You were there when I fell behind
When I didn't know what to do, you told me
You helped me become me
You were there when the world came crashing down
You helped me get off the ground
When it seemed everything was lost you gave me hope
Throughout all my troubles you kept me afloat

You were there when no one else was
You were there to give me your undevoted love
When everone was against me you didn't leave
You were there to help me see
You were there holding my hand
Throughout my life you were my biggest fan
When I wouldn't listen you never gave up
When I was thirsty you filled my cup

You were when I showed up on your doorstep
For you, life I kept
When I was tired you helped me rest
You helped me become the very best
You were there to help me stop crying
You were there to say never stop trying
When was lost you showed me the way
Because you loved me, Life is now okay

Because You Loved Me

Because you loved me . . .
Life seemed more enjoyable
I apprieciated the true beauty of living
I had life long friends
I had a best friend
I tried new things
I became more open

Because you loved me . . .
The world spinned easier
I was a good sister, friend, daughter
I listened to peoples probles
I listened to peoples hearts
I apprieciated everything around me

Because you loved me . . .
There was something worth living for
I tried different things
I was easier to talk to
I loved the simple things in life
I learned to give without reward

Because you loved me . . .
I felt right in the middle
I enjoyed the beauty of just being me
I learned everything was worth having
I tried new things
I never gave up

Because you loved me . . .
Life was a better place
I learned to listen
I learned to give and recieve with more thanks
I learned about love
I learned from experiences
I learned to cry

Because you loved me . . .
The days became special
I looked forward to tomorrow
I learned love and repect shouldn't be taken for granted
I learned how to be open
I got others to be open

Because you loved me . . .
I loved my family
I didn't become to the only one in this world
I learned to revolve around others
I followed in other peoples foot steps
And people learned from mine

All because you loved me

Think

A penny dropped
A homeless man becomes a millionaire
A butterfly fluttered its wings
Five million people die in an earthquake
A little girl gave a stranger a flower
The stranger went home and through way his gun
A dog saved a little boy from a burning fire
The little boy later becomes president
A waitress was given a large tip
Her children got sometime to eat
A man becomes rich after his invention of cigarettes
One hundred million people per year now die of cancer
and other diseases caused by smoking
A boy and his friends make fun of two boys at school everyday
The columbine shootings affected many lives
People use to much gas and pollute the world
A hole has been created in the ozone layer
Killing us a little each day
Pandora opened the forbidden box
Millions of people today die in wars, car accidents, and other fatal occurances

Think before you act! Every action, has a reaction!

Just Another Moment

Another second has gone forever, so fast now almost like a dream
When was the last time we were together?
Did we love or did it seem?
I do now know, I don't remember
When did we love, what does it mean?
It seems so cold; now it hits December
Everything seems to go so fast; how cruel, yet how keen

A minute swept away at my feet, it has gone oh, so far
Why does everything have to leave?
Here and gone like a shooting star
Here and gone without relief, here and gone, just like a car
As I think here on the street, I guess that's just the way things are

And so another day passed me by
So quickly now that I grow older
And so I sit and watch the sky, I lean my head upon your should
Watching, wondering why, oh, why must the days get long and colder
So I think and wonder with a sigh as I watch and wonder on the corner

Another year has come and gone, and yet it seems like yesterday
I was young and sang my song, and life was headed a different way
I did not know right from wrong, I did not have a moment so grey
Morning brings another dawn, and so I must go on with my day!

Pain

I'm not nobody's fool and I'm not nobody's angel
and I don't think it's cool when you laugh'cause it's painful
When you've called me a whore you've torn my heart to the core
I'll slam the front door and lay crying on the floor
I listen to you yell and it will feel like hell
In the end I'll disregard it I'll go off and relax a bit
I'll give a big sigh then get my hopes all high
When the buzz has come I'll have my own lttle fun
I'll relaz until seven then I'll go into my own perfect heaven
I seldom sleep at night but stay awak trying to figure what's right
I don't know who to be because being is not enoug
But it's so tough to be anything more 'cause doing so I can't score
And I ware myself out So I try a different route
But in the end it doesn't really matter Because you don't love me any better
and it's all a waste of time So I have to end this rhyme
By saying so maybe you''ll start agreeing
If you want something that's true Just know that I love you!

Sincerely Yours

Before you throw this letter away,
Please listen to what I have to say.
It has taken me years to write to you,
So believe everything I write is true.

I'm not good with words when just written down,
So with this poem I'll have to work around.
I have to tell you before it's too late,
I have to tell you to clear my slate.

Words can not express what regret I have felt,
Over the past years the pain I have dealt.
If I could turn back the hands of time today,
I would to when we were friends and say . . .

"Thankyou my friend for all you have taught me,
Thankyou my friend for all you have helped me to see.
I have never met someone quite like you,
My love for you will always be true."

I regret today for not saying what I felt then,
I regret it's my actions that lost me my friend.
I know after this that your wounds still won't heal,
But I have to admit better my heart will feel.

Sooner or later I hope we can be friends,
And rekindle the spirit that we once had again.
All I ask is for a second chance,
To be my friend even give me a glance.

With love that will never die It is time to leave you,
I hope everything is well and all your dreams come true.
Farewell to you now please consider this letter,
For an apology I am giving for worse or for better.

Apology

I sit in my room and stare up at the moon
Listening to techno I trip and get tired
Then I hear boom from the amplifire
And snap into the zone when I hear the telephone
I stare at the reciever and pretend not to be here
But ten I hear your voice and I got no choice
But to pick up and say "hi" and then I start to cry
When you say "I love you" 'Cause then I know it's true
So I say "I'm really sorry, what I said earlier meant nothing,
I hope you know I'm not bluffin,'cause if you were only herer,
I'd be saying it with tears and then I'd give you a big hug
and we're cuddle on my rug, and you would whisper and say
"You know everything is okay."
You tell me it shows and that you really do know,
and you wish you were here to wipe away my tears
and I say so you know it's okay,
"Another day will come tomorrow, So let there be no sorrow."
And after this I have said You tuck me into bed
You tell me to pull up the sheets
And over the phone give me a kiss on each cheeck,
You say, " Everything will be alright, I love you,
and goodnight."

How Did We Get This Way

How did we get this way
I feel introuble without you
You gotta be feeling it too
How did we get to this place
I feel so out of shape
All my friends call me a fool
'Cause feeling this way is not cool
Who do I talk to now

I feel like I'm out of touch
'Cause sweety I miss you so much
Everything seems so messed up
I never thought we'd end up here
In sane and in tears
Please tell me how to make things straight
'Cause I know this isn't our fate
We don't have to hurt
We don't need this pain
How did this sunshine turn into such rain

I know I can recall
Seeing it come, seeing it all
As the thunder clouds rolled in
I thought this storm wouldn't win
Where do we go from here
This isn't where we intended to be
Why does it seem we're falling apart
Life seems so dull without you here
Days pass but I really don't care
Today didn't work out
But tomorrow is another day
We'll try a different route
We're try a different way
I'm tired of standing
But more sick of falling

All I need is you here by my side
I can't go along on this ride
I can't stand to hide
People walk by as if they don't care
As if I'm not there
As if I couldn't care
I feel I've become nothing
As if I were every sometime
Could somebody rescue me
This is where I wanted to be
I've become into somebody I don't like
Someone who is not right
Just another person trying to win this fight

So what happens now
Where am I going to
This life doesn't seem true
As if it were nothing without you
You must love me
I cannot be a normal person
Without you by my side
Please tell me you'll try
You must love me
You have to see
Everything here that I have to say
How did we ever get this way

To Love

If you're going out with someone,
Don't say you love them, until you really mean it.
If you don't wait, then it doesn't mean anything.
You're just throwing it out there,
without thinking about the consequences.
To love someone means to be there with them,
and for them no matter what
To be happy to see them,
to always want to give them hugs and kisses,
and touch, and be there when the cry,
or stick up for them when they have no one else,
or tell them they're wrong, or they're loved,
or even just that you understand.
To love someone is to be able to sit down,
and just listen to them, without giving an opinion.
To love is to love, nothing more, nothing less.
Don't take it for granted,
because one day,
it'll come back to bite you where it hurts the most.

I'Ll Always Remember

Where to start Where to begin
Lets just hope this isn't the end
You were the one You were the best
My baby I'll loveyou for the rest
I'll try to proceed Your every need
So you don't lave Me here to bleed
Please try to see That I'm not me
When you're not here Nothing is clear
Your love is tender I know I'll remember
The memories forever
Can't you see You fill me with glee
I love you so much When you kiss
When you touch Its like an adrenaline rush
I'll start to blush I'll turn red and get flushed
Without you I feel as though I am nothing
This song I sing is a different tune
Because I know son I'll be left with wounds
'Cause you'll be gone and it will feel so wrong
Like a broken song or a lost fawn
Everyday after I'll pretend not to care
As if i'm feel his way But I won't be the girl
I was yesterday 'Cause now that you're gone
I sing a different song 'Cause you're not here
And life is not clear But my love I'll always remember
As if you were still here Our friendship forever
