Remember the Day

remember the day your daddy was taken away
the terrible tragady that blew us away
the strength we had to carry on
you both were so young and so strong
telling me,mom everything will be ok
daddy's in ours hearts everyday
could't believe you both were only 6 and 7
and to have a daddy who is in heaven
now you both are 19 and 20
and daddy he has plenty
he has the love of his family
to keep him going for enternity

Another Day Another Start Working On My Broken Heart

up all night thinking again can't believe it came to an end
did'nt get to say goodbye but somehow now i'll have to try
because tomorrow is going to be another day another  start
working on my broken heart
scattered thoughts in my mind peace is what i'll have to find
you was my world taken away i'll have to deal with that everyday
so tomorrow is going to be another day another start

they say in time the pain will ease but never the same i'll ever be
it's going to take all the strength in me

Hurricane Wilma

hurricane wilma hammering down us below
florida is where i live wandering where you going to go
watching the weather knowing you'll be here soon
seeing what you're doing right now hoping you'll slow down too
people are packing and getting away 
don't what to be around for that hurricane day
saw what katrina and rita could do
and know that you could also too
and when you're all done i pray to god
not a single life was taken do to your making

Lifes Too Short To Let It Pass By

one chance in this world is all that you get so make the best of it
cause lifes a gamble so play your cards right make your future bright
learn to give, love, and care but be careful if you take a dare
and if you get caught up in the stress of today make tomorrow a better day
just take a deep breath and count to ten and you'll feel better again
only you can take control of what life has in hold
so hold your head up high all you can do is try
cause lifes too short to let it pass by.

Hurricane Katrina

lost in a storm where can my family be
hurricane katrina took them away from me
the wind was so strong we tried to hold on
if only we had left before the storm came along
homes under water people afloat
some are alive some are not
such devestation you can hear their cries
will there ever be any more blue skies
its going to take the strength of all
to rebuild the towns that took a fall
to remember those who lost their lifes
in this hurricane that took us all by surprise.

We As America

the new dawn had brought the start of a beautiful day then boom
in a split second it was all taken away by an attack on america in a very 
cowardly way.
many lifes lost they had no care for human life we as america we will fight
we will stand united as one with this attack on america we will be strong.
we pray for the lifes lost and their families left behind but we as america
we will not hide.
we will find the will and the strength to go on but osama bin laden you will
be found you will pay for your cowardly acts need i say more to that fact
and when that happens the sigh of relief now our loved ones can rest in peace.
and we as america we will be fine our loved ones will always be on our minds          
but i believe we will be ok in time.
they'd want us to go on and stand on our own two feet cause we as america
cannot be beat.

Ridin Angel

i know with angel i'll be free
off into the sunset thats where i'd want to be
i'll ride in thoughts and clear my head
and know i'll have to move ahead
i'll stop for a rest then saddle back up
i'll know that i could never give up
i'll ride that trail thats ahead of me
but i know with angel i'll always be free.

For Our Two Little Ones

i remember the night before we were laughing and tickling on the floor
and now you've gone through heaven's door.
i know i got to go on for our two little ones together will get through and we will 
always love you.
i walk in the rooms of our new home i'm hanging up pictures and see one of you and 
realizing the reality of not having you but in our son's room i see you there in the 
football spirit that you two shared.
in our daughter's room its definally you shes listening to music too. i know i got to go 
on for our two little ones together will get through and we will always love you.
a day won't go by that your not on our minds but i believe now will be ok in time

broken heart beating alone thinking about you can never home
theres nothing i can do to bring you back its the most helpless feeling i ever had
will this broken heart ever mend when i keep thinking about what might have been
what is it i'm suppose to do how can i learn to live without you
never had so many thoughts going through my mind
the past and future what might have been

all i can do is miss you and cry
but i know you you're telling me to get back on my feet give it a try

You Can Go On 9/11

what can i do to help all of you to tell you, you'll be fine
all it takes is time
been there before when my loved one knocked on heavens door
you have to take it day by day and be strong all the way
your loved ones will always be on your minds
but you will be ok in time
you have to go on what else can you do
you have loved ones here that need you too
to all the victims of that tragic day
