The Invitation

I received your invitation it was sent to heaven above
it was signed, sealed , delivered, and stamped with your love
I wish that I could be there to help you prepare for your day.
Give you my opinion and see what you had to say

But you picked the perfect dress it really looks good on you
I like your hair up the veil suits you too.

I picked out the dress I'll wear and I prepared my angel wings,
and on that day in heaven God said the angels are going to sing

I am so proud to be, the mother of the bride,
you have grown into a beautiful woman
you are my source of pride.

And as you walk down the isle and prepare to
say I do, I will be attending, I will be there with you

So I am returning my RSVP it was sent from heaven above
Signed, sealed, delivered and stamped with my love.

For My Sister

You took her from us on a cold
October day.
With out warning she just went away.

She didn't get to see
her children grow
And my smallest one
she will never know

We miss so much about her
each and every day
and if given a choice
we would have asked for her to stay

But this was your decision
this we know is true
but I wish God you would have realized
we loved her to.

Only Nikki

As she packed her things
the tears started to flow
she couldn't believe the day had come
and she wasn't ready to go

She has always had the support
 only her family could bring
But she knew she was to old
to continue to cling

So she gathered up her strength
and headed to the door
She wasn't so sure
she wanted to go to college anymore

So we reasured her,
told her she would be ok,
and if she was to do this
today would be the day

We would always be here for her,
she will always have a home
But it was time for her to learn
to stand on her own

We stood and watched her, as she pulled
away, knowing we would see her
Friday, her college is only forty minutes away.

#85

#85

He waits all week for game day
and can't sleep the night before.
He puts on his equipment and heads out the door.
At the field he gets in position and is prepared to play.
He wants to sack the quarterback
that's his goal today.
As the other team hikes the ball there goes eight five.
He plays without fear as he picks up his stride.
He makes his way through the line determined to meet his goal, He sacks the quarterback
and hears the whistle blow. As he walks off the field, helmet in his hand he knows he showed
no fear and was willing to take a stand.
He dreams of some day playing in the Super Bowl where he will sack the Quarterback and
hear the whistle blow. He knows he has the determination and the skills to reach his goal. He
knows his dreams will come true, as only a seven year old would know

Sent From Heaven

You are my first born grandchild
from my youngest Son
Today is your birthday
your life has just begun

I held you up in heaven
and kissed your chubby cheeks
I rocked you in my arms
until you fell asleep

You are a special Baby
and were sent from heaven above,
and when you arrived on earth
it was with all my love

I will be there for your birthdays
and to watch you grow,
Nana will always be with you,
this you already know

So when you say your prayers at night
or wish upon a star, remember
Nana loves you , and that heavens not that
far
