Shirley Leforte Poem
When your head is bent in sadness
And your heart is breaking in two,
Remember our good times together
And the love I had for you.
Remember the laughter not sorrow,
Remember the sunshine not rain,
For our time on earth is much too short
For us to dwell on the pain.
We all come into this world
Filled with hopes and dreams which we weave.
We laugh, we dance, we sing, we cry,
Then it's time for us to leave.
So live your life with gladness
Taking each day what may come.
And do not think of me in sadness
For God has called me home.

Shirley Leforte Poem
As I sit and look out my window
I dream of days gone past;
My memory drifts to happy times
Of tiny handprints on the glass.
I can still hear their little voices sing,
still see them running through the grass,
Their favourite toys in disarray,
Their tiny handprints on the glass.
Those chubby little hands in mine,
No other memory can surpass;
Little hands that played and loved and prayed,
And left their prints upon the glass.
Those little hands are now all grown
For time does surely pass,
And from them God's blessed once again,
With tiny handprints on the glass.
I sit and look out my window now,
I watch the season go by fast,
Rich with the love from God above,
And tiny handprints on the glass.

Shirley Leforte Poem
Hush little one, now close your eyes,
And I will sing soft lullabies,
Angels caress your tiny cheek
As into dreamland you gently peek.
So quiet now you lay so still
Love upon my heart does spill.
A smile whispers across your face
As I give to you one last embrace.
So pure, so perfect, I stand in awe,
So blessed by my gift from God.
