Love Is Forever Lasting

It is the worst addiction you will ever know
You can't imagine all that pain
It is oh so blind
You can't even see the daylight
All those tears
Yet it's all for a price
It is the greatest passion
you only wish you knew
All those steamy nights
It is the happiness
You wouldn't understand
All the laughs we had
It is that higher power
You need to believe in
All the faith in the world
It is saving his soul
You know there is hard work involved
All for love which will be forever lasting

there are voices all around me
saying this and that
the truth is coming out
you are in another world
that I don't want to know
unless there is something you want
I do not exist to you
why you make me suffer
make me watch the man I love
kill himself each day
you may love me
but you don't care for me
I want someone I can spend my life with
not someone who doesn't give me the time of day
you have two choices
you need to decide
choice one:
keep living your life as is or,
choice two:
keep the vow you made to me
if choice one is yours
you need to let me go
I don't want anything to do with that
there for I would not be the one for you
if choice two is yours
you need to stop doing meth now
and get your act together
start showing me you care
so make your choice
because soon I'll be making mine
and I've got bigger and better things on my mind

My Confessions

I hate his ways,
 but I love his heart
I can't stand being with him,
 but I would die without him
I fell into the darkness and was blinded by the light
I push him too hard,
 but he doesn't even push back
I want to tell him all and hope he sees,
 but I don't think he wants to listen
I have hopes and dreams, but he crushes them so fast,
 tearing down the walls before they're built
I just don't understand why he acts this way,
 like he doesn't have a care in this world
Can I save him or is he lost?
I need to bring him back,
 he is not the same,
 there used to be a glow in his eyes
I believe inside he's fighting a battle 
and won't let anyone help him win
So far we have all lost

An Ode To Rick

A LIFE WAS LOST TOO SOON
WHY HE THOUGHT LIFE WASN'T WORTH IT
I DON'T KNOW IT COULD HAVE BEEN MANY THINGS
BUT NOW SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE TO SUFFER

NO ONE CAN TAKE AWAY
 THE PAIN OF LOSING
YOUR FIRST BORN SON OR
YOUR ONLY BROTHER
THERE IS AN EMPTY VOID
IN THEIR HEARTS
THAT CAN NEVER BE FILLED

THE ONLY THING LEFT TO DO
IS REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES
THAT YOU USED TO SHARE
AND ALL THE SILLY THINGS HE DID
I DIDN'T KNOW HIM VERY WELL
BUT HIS SISTER HAS TOLD ME 
SOME PRETTY FUNNY STORIES

LET'S CARRY HIS SPIRIT ON IN OUR HEARTS
AND LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST FOR HIM
HE IS NOW IN A BETTER PLACE
WATCHING OVER US
AND SOMEDAY WE WILL MEET WITH HIM AGAIN

why can't i be the person i want to be
i'm losing everything that's dear to me
i only want my family back
the hardest thing i'll ever have to do
and i don't know if i can do it
if only i could make him see what he does to me
everyone says let him go
but it's hard to let go of my destiny
his heart used to beat with mine
and now it beats a faster pace
how can i make him see that we're family; not stangers
it hurts to remember
all the great times we'll never get to share again
he's gone so far away
but he's right in front of me
how can i make him never forget those times
he was my inspiration to live life to the fullest
and then he threw his away on meth
one day he'll see what he did to us 
but by then it will probably be to late

six more, I still itch
stop the pain, no more hurt
till the end, noone's done
everything gone, I'm still here
men in white, women in black
reverse it then throw it away

Bad Hand

the date i can't remember
i was alone
that's all that mattered
it was also cold
my stomach hurts it will go away
i cannot comfort myself anymore
i need some help to sleep
fate has dealt me a bad hand
but i will play it and win
i always do
i take pride in what i do
for i know that i am great
but pain is all i have to thank

Free Will

the time has come for us
to finish what we have started
stopping at the beginning
as the days pass by 
we all make choices that effect
the greatest people
without them even knowing it
my pain is the greatest
it can be at this moment
but i can always choose to
deal with it or let it bug me until i die
i leave you with these words
never do what they say,
always do whats in your heart
