Brian Crystal Poem
Square off
Center
Bogus
I am a concrete block.
Kitty-cornered
Straight down the middle
Weathered but useable
Concrete block with a cross

Brian Crystal Poem
Dusting off myself like a book
Drawn from a case of others.
Who will I be today?
Shall my cover be an athlete
- as I run to win the prize ?
Or shall my cover be a musician
- as I quit my other profession to
engulf my hearers with sound from
my heart plucked.
Even better, my cover be myself
- as I attempt to beacon me
Though it is but a trifle to some
It seems to beat all the other covers combined.

Brian Crystal Poem
What waters we drink from
starry eyed and staring
Alphabet soup
What think we of ourselves
to fill from dank and dark murk
Alphabet soup
What angels with drooped wings
Ask for a better applause
alphabet soup
What tribe to our children do we offer
When we drink from the sin-silly waters of...
Alphabet soup

Brian Crystal Poem
Sunbeams scatter all the waves back
The ruling embers of might and brawn
The still post of time issues it's wail
Till merely mirage and immortal eyes
Those waves only now do tell.
Yet I myself hold such a gaze
Which no one, no matter how high
Can steal it's reality from behind mine eye!
