Vickielynn Conwell Poem
We salute our fallen soldiers for their families we pray,
fighting for our freedom when God took them away.
They fight for our protection to keep our country free,
no so sure about the rest that means a lot to me.
God it really breaks my heart to hear another soldiers dies,
A nation is in mourning and still a nation cries.
As many people gather to pay their last respects,
the family of the soldier so proud happy to accept.
A woman holds her baby as tears roll down her face,
A soldier folds the flag as they sing amazing grace.
I wrote this for our hero,s not one but to you all,
to the ones still fighting and for the ones who fall.
God bless our hero,s
and peace to the fallen.

Vickielynn Conwell Poem
A decorated soldier a flag,a purple heart,
something meant to celebrate just tore their lives apart.
Friends and family gather we bow our heads to pray,
A soldiers coming home but they"ll bury him today.
We all call him a hero he fought just to protect,
never had a doubt not one single regret.
God, my heart goes out to his family and friends,
so many hearts are broken so many lives to mend.
To me he was a stranger I don,t even know his name,
still he fought for me and treated all the same.
Someone has lost a son a brother, or a dad,
that part really hurts me and makes me really sad.
We know that he,s in heaven with our precious Lord above,
A soldier,s coming home today God please give him my love.
God bless his family and God I will pray.
I dedicate this to the young soldier that died in Iraq
in 2010. From S.C God bless all..

Sometimes it,s really hard for me
to find the words to say,
what you really mean to me
I love you more each day.
Your so much a part of me
I only wish you knew,
just how much it hurts me
for all I put you through.
I know that I can,t change things
that,s happened in our past,
but baby I know this
our love was meant to last.
I know you think I"m crazy
you say I've lost my mind,
I wonder if it,s true
is real love hard to find?
Your all I've ever wanted
your my dream come true,
so what I maybe crazy
but I"m crazy about you.....

Vickielynn Conwell Poem
God, she has a broken wing she can no longer fly,
little things in her life that do still make her cry.
And even with a broken wing her spirit still roams free,
I know she won,t give up the fight she,s much stronger then me.
At times she talks about her past and still it hurts her bad,
the whole time it just breaks my heart to know that she,s so sad.
There,s time I wish I could go back and take all her pain away,
I"d leave a smile to replace the tears she cries each day.
I"d put some joy back in her heart and take back all her fears,
I"d give her back the happiness that she has missed for years.
And last but least that she would know even with a broken wing,
don,t really change the bird or stop it,s need to sing.
I wrote this poem and dedicate it to my sister Debbie
who has cancer, I love you baby girl, Sissy
