Valerie Thomas Poem
As the sun shines so brightly
I am always playing cheerfully,
Makes me realize that I have grown
Into an energetic personality that I can call my own,
Excited about being close to Mommy and Daddy because they're so special...
Playing with my sister, and even, looking for a seashell,
Listening to my heart and my soul
When expressing my feelings in art or whatever I do,
I live in a world of happiness and joy,
Of confidence and determination....that special glow,
Always surrounded by the love
That I have come to know.

Valerie Thomas Poem
As the sun shines so bright
The warmth of thy everlasting light
Will shine on you until the dark of night.
Oh, so beautiful,
Yet fragile,
And so breakable.
Find the one that lasts forever
For it is the one, that is,
Ultimately intrinsic in value
And childhood memory,
So that you will remember....
This special gift now becomes
The element that fills that empty space,
That signifies a precious moment in time.
The bond between mother and daughter
Will grow even more
As they have grown together,
Through the love and care,
Support and compassion,
That has blossomed from day one
And will strengthen forever more !

Valerie Thomas Poem
As I lay in the heat from the sun's rays at noon
I recall our special moment together....
I feel the warmth....
The warmth that penetrates from your body to mine
Uniting us as one.
This feeling envelopes my entire being
Surrounded in a world of beautiful and wonderful things.
Your enduring embrace,
As we kiss throughout the night,
Our lips so soft,
As the delicate petals of a rose
That everlasting kiss.
As you caress my body
With your warm, tender fingertips
I melt in your arms from your sensuous touch.
As we embrace each other
Our hearts beat as one,
Became rhythm in sync
That was music for ours to keep.
Forever I will always love you
For it was meant to be you and me.

Valerie Thomas Poem
The floodlight went out
Just about two o'clock in the morning
But little did anyone know
That the attack was about to spring.
Being asleep in their beds
No one had realized what to think
When the sound of a clang
Meant that there was an invasion
Right in the back yard.
The pitter-patter of little feet across the brick
Led up to the built-in garbage can.
They worked very quick,
Like two bandits in disguise,
To grab a bundle of goodies.
"But, I'll hold the lid up
So that you can see.
It's so messy down there,
For a girl like me."
"Okay, OKay, don't worry,
I'll get the vittles."
Hanging over the edge,
He manages to scrounge through a pile
But figured out he was stuck in a wedge
Against the inside wall.
He changes ges his strategic tactic just by chance,
Side by side with his accomplice,
They looked at each other at once glance.
They struck a gold mine of seafood delight,
And scurried away so excited
With their catch of the night.

Valerie Thomas Poem
Always wrapped in my arms
With hugs that just come naturally
Unique in your very own special way
With that spectacular flair
Delightful dazzling dances, and to be so daring
With those acrobatic stunts
Really silly laughter of giggles
That are a constant flow of joy
Everyday the love that you bring into my life
Will last forever....because
You are "My Little Sunshine" !

Valerie Thomas Poem
Since the day she was born
She became a special addition to the family,
Destined for affection,
Attention, and royalty.
Her protective nature,
Her courageous demeanor,
Her generous affection
Emanates throughout Her Kingdom.
Her essence of beauty,
Reminiscent of a floral aura,
Represents the combination
Of her personality
And her elegant yet majestic pose.
Always surrounded by the Love of Ra,
Praised by the pantheon of Gods & Goddesses Above,
Sits so quietly with a pharaonic profile
Similar to the Sphinx on The Nile.

Valerie Thomas Poem
As I close my eyes
I remember all of the colors in my mind.
That have intricately intermingled,
Into the only one of a kind,
Swirling around out of control
Like a masterpiece made in heaven.
I can see all the colors of my world in front of me
Spinning around like a watercolor dancing on ice,
Similar to colors in a rainbow that I have seen
No just once, or twice, but more than thrice,
Just so brilliant and beautiful....
Magenta, fuchsia, tangerine, yellow,
Jade, cobalt, and violet.
Magnified with such intensity
Has influenced such strong feelings
That hasmesmerized not just me,
But an entire community.
That is the kaleidoscope of my world
Which is also fascinated by others,
But it means so much more to me;
It is similar to the path of my life.
Because wherever I go
And whomever I meet
Becomes a part of whom I am.
No two people can see the same rainbow.
Not many can honestly say
That they have seen mine.
But I will always see
The colors of my kaleidoscope.

Valerie Thomas Poem
Oh, Most Beautiful Ra
Who oversees the creation of the world,
Thy Everlasting Sun of gold and glitter,
To shine upon the Earth,
To see nature in full bloom,
Spreads its bounties
Throughout Thy Kingdom.
To warn Thy Spirit against evil
But to protect for eternal life
Becomes the identity of the beholder.
Thy Sun above shines brightly down on me
And permeates throughout my entire being.
The warmth and glow of its rays
Affects every element in my life
Of who I am today.
It is truly a blessing
For I have been chosen for a special purpose
But for the reason why I do not know
Unitl then I will know why
When cometh that day.
