Silvery Moon

The dancers sway to the
                         Rhythmic beating of the drums,
Singing with delight,an enchanting folk song,
                         As old as the hills,
                   Under the strange silvery moon,
A perfect embodiment of surreal beauty

But a fox howls with grief
                        From the graveyard and
A dreadful premonition hangs thick  in the air,
The village is soon set in gloom,
The silvery moon is long fled.

Every Time the Doorbell Rings

Cruelty and indifference
gallops away with the winter's
chill
tight-lipped determination and
venomous fragrance
jostles excitedly to escape
affection and scorn rips me
apart
i want to feign sleep or death
i want to rise up
look my best
bring back the charm
of lost love-tickled days
shriveled by cold
looking harmless or arrogant
in intoxicating promises
he's always true to fickleness
i rise and fall
 every time i see him
every time the doorbell rings

Untitled

I want to tumble down and
down
the thorny slopes
if only to land with
a clean slate in the head
and a strong string in the heart.

Strife

I look ugly and sombre
reflected in the gay
mirror,abashed,
a misplaced creature,
of raging strife
whose soul howls a burning
cry.

A crescendo of gripping fears
threatens to engulf me
I stand with conscious
barrenness
gnawing me,
shameless tears mocking me.

The chaotic future lures me
netting me with glittering
dreams,
hopeful desires
while I with a pregnant mind
stumble back to the cradle of
clutching rags.

Maddening Wheel of Life

Possessed and dispossessed
in the blink of an eye
fresh pain in old wounds
chunks of yesterday's and
tomorrow's pain
crowds today's vacuum
suffocation and nauseating
sweat
slowly excites the numb senses
cleverly disguised in false
colors
bleeding my inner soul
i gather to your selfish whims
but you are blind
you see me through the
crowd's eye
listen endlessly to my hoarse
laughter
as i circle mindlessly
round and round
this maddening wheel of life.

Blinding Light

Flying plates,broken porcelain
and
smashed family portrait
jewels strewn on the stained
marble floor
bloodshot eyes are fixed on its
makers
amidst anguished cries,
they dismember each other.

A frail body rushes into the
night
with a bleeding heart
darkness awaits to heal yet
another wound
i have travelled far
so beckon me not my makers
your chandeliers blinds me
I'll open my eyes in the dark.

Memory

Cease being my memory,
you deserve not the pain of
this thankless ordeal;
on the blurry lengthening scroll
of my mind
you sweat to splash the frozen
ink
trapped in the rusty pen
of my fleeing yesteryears.

Flung into the present
a maze cocoons me,
beneath your urging voice
myriad trails do i see,
a flash of recognition for a
triumphant moment
then a hollow and dark
aftermath,
from my vacant head
slowly you ebb away,
from my unmoving lips
a whisper follows you-
Will i ever wake up?

Let Me Sing a Song For You

When mother lights up the fireplace
and father reminisces about
the golden days past,
let me sing a song for you.

When sister weaves a shawl
of rainbow hues
and strings of pearls slide
down her cheeks,
let me sing a song for you.

When merry voices are heard
in the streets below
ushering in the heady festive season
but Santa will bring no gifts for you,
let me sing a song for you.

Let my song echo past
the watchful ferryman,
across the forbidden sea.
Upon a serene valley or
a howling moor you dwell
I know not,brother dear,
but let my song soothe your soul.

Transition

The black ceiling closes down
on me
a spasm of pain rocks my
whole being
the world is no longer mine
dreams has been crushed
the black ceiling retreats
fearfully back
a woman is born of a girl
the cracked mirror
shamedfacedly reflects a
bruised face
questions passes through
swollen lips
but the creator is mute now
He is gazing at a father's baby
in his daughter's womb.

Anonymous

In time and space, I flounder
The universe knows not my name
My verses neither enlightened
Nor delighted souls,
Of love and hope,
I gave them not a glimpse.
My fingers forever entwined
With invisible ink
Aches for a peak into
The secrets of the mind,
Spy for a chance masterpiece,
But alas!the theatre is sealed.
The universe whispers the names
Of bards you so love,
But it knows not my name
To you, I am just anonymous.
