Anna Marie Duna Poem
What I Am
It’s my time to be what I am.
There’s no more you and me.
And quite frantically,
That’s how it should be.
You don’t have a clue.
Thinking everything revolves around you.
Give it time, baby boy.
You’ll see she was just a toy.
Not being held back now.
This is my time now.
Don’t bother trying,
Because inside I was the one dying.

Anna Marie Duna Poem
On this chilly Spring evening, I see who I've become.
Is it at all weird that I can relive my memories of a little girl?
Is it at all weird that I am envisioning my future?
I find myself at a crossroad.
Everything is just overlapping one another.
At times, I feel I cannot go on.
I need to believe in myself.
Some people just have all the confidence in the world.
How do they do it?
I wish I knew.
I wish I could be like them.
I wonder if anyone thinks of me this way.
I wonder if I have an ability which someone else desires.
Unlike others though, I'm just being me.
I don't know change.
I am me.

Anna Marie Duna Poem
You've been gone for what seems like forever,
I didn't know I could miss someone so much.
It does, however, prove that my love for you is real.
My heart tells me so.
I know that regardless of being apart,
We are still connected at the heart.

Anna Marie Duna Poem
I see it there, I really do.
I see it when I look at you.
I see your smile, it shines like the sun.
If only I could be your only one.
I know you see me, yes it’s true.
I know that you still feel it too.
I know how you love, I’ve been there.
Because a love like yours is quite rare.
I hope someday you me more.
I hope someday I’m not the girl next door.
And if one day things work for me and you,
I’ll love you our whole life through.
