Ellie Adam Poem
Hey, love. I know you see me, we've exchanged a few words, just here and there, but I can't help but see you everywhere. I know you know me, you know what I like, but all we seem to do is fight. Maybe it's because, we both refuse to see, our true feelings really can come to be.
Hey, love, I know you like me, I know it's true, I really am just crushin' on you. I like your laugh, your smile, your voice, I just wish one of us would make that choice. The choice to admit that… just maybe, we could be something more than friends. Are we meant to be together in the end?
Hey, love. You're a really good friend, you know me so well, I just wish we both could tell. Tell if you liked me, or if I like you or if we're just being manipulated into something that's not really true.
Hey, love, thank you for being there, even if we're not meant to be. I'm still crushin' on you, I just don't want to let you see. I'm scared of my feelings, of being let down, but then again… is there any other way to know how? To know how to love, to know how to laugh, to know how to admit that we could be something more than friends.
Maybe, just maybe… we could be the game that ends.

Ellie Adam Poem
In late January, I met them. It was a corner that I finally turned in my life. Shy… that was never me until I lost my friends. And when I found new ones, I was still that.
But friendships are sweet.
We acted like we'd known each other forever after a month, and it was almost a honeymoon period. I was learning inside jokes and the tea about all the guys.
See… friendships are sweet.
Prom was exactly four months after we met, and we all were in our gowns and new at this, being freshman that year. I left them for a bit, to talk to my crush, and they kept cheering me on. I love them so much.
Friendships are so sweet.
Never forget that.
They'll grow into a tree that bears many aamazing fruits, and you jus have to be patient with it.

Ellie Adam Poem
Did you know that it sucks to be a ghost?
I hate that I am always at war with myself inside my head, and that this war is caused by the people I love the most. Some days, I want to do something and it's just too much to be able to do both. To able to be both. A good friend, or a good daughter? Why can I not just do both? Why is it not just that easy? My, how it sucks to be a ghost.
I love my friends, so much, and I want to spend time with them and I want to thank them for all that they have done for me. They were my saving grace on earth, the people who brought me back from where I was, when I was depressed and sad and felt so, so unalive in myself. Goodness, how it sucks to be a ghost.
But I love my family too, and sometimes I hate that I love them, because I feel as though I have my responsiblity to fill for them, and that I cannot leave them. I usually feel bad when I get home and my mother is cranky and fed up with my other five siblings.
I spent so much time being the daughter who's worried that nothing she does will ever be enough, and the friend who's worried that because of that, I'm not cool enough, not good enough to be in their circle. It really sucks to be a ghost.
I spend so much time being those things that I never have time to be myself. I don't know who I am anymore. I don't know the person who lives inside myself. It sucks to be a ghost.
But maybe a ghost is all that I am. Maybe a ghost is all that I am meant to be. Maybe I am just the ghost girl, the daughter trying to be perfect, and the friend trying to be enough.
