Bow to the Wind (DHR)


as I bend
I swish away
the wind
raindrops drip
from my leaves
and brush
against your hair
as you wander 
beneath me
my sap
pours forth
as I bend

as I bend
autumn dances
in the breeze
my branches sway
tickling the earth
beneath me
for sustenance 
we play together 
for awhile 
as I bend

as I bend
the night falls
a thousand stars
twinkle above me
I undress
my cloak
of leaves
and watch you
dancing
beneath the moon
as I bend
