Mollee Hembree Poem
She heard the first heartbeat, a tiny, steady rhythm, A sudden, heavy weight, but a future coming with it. At fourteen, the world feels loud, sharp, and quick to judge, Yet standing in the doctor's room, she refuses to budge.
Scared of every step ahead, of how her world will shift, Everything is changing now, a sudden, permanent drift. Let them whisper, let them talk, they don't walk in her shoes, She holds her ground, protects her own, with everything to lose.
Her life is rearranging, the quiet room grows still, A mother’s love is waking up, a strong and steady will. "It’s mine," she says into the noise, clear above the fear, A promise made in silence to the beat she came to hear.

Mollee Hembree Poem
You chose my name,
And you chose my fate.
You are not here,
But every now and then, I still think of you.
Would you have been a good father?
Would you have taught your daughters?
I hear a song and think of you,
I see something go wrong and think of you.
In the end, I remember why you're not here:
You left, so why should I waste my time waiting for you?
You had your chance, but you walked away.
You didn't want the responsibilities.
You didn't want us.
So today, I choose to move forward without you.

Mollee Hembree Poem
The morning sun still hits wrong.
And for a second, I think long.
I catch myself about to say your name,
Then realize the world is not the same.
It’s hard to let the days keep moving fast,
When all I want to do is hold the past.
My feet feel heavy, stuck in yesterday,
While everyone else just walks away.
But then I hear your voice inside my head,
Remembering the gentle words you said.
You never wanted me to hide in gloom,
Or let the shadows take up every room.
You’d tell me, "Go outside and see the sky,
Don't spend your time just asking reasons why."
You loved me, and you'd want to see me smile,
Even if it takes a little while.
So I will take a breath and take a step,
And try to keep the promises I kept.
I’m carrying your love as I move on,
Because you live in every brand new dawn.

Mollee Hembree Poem
I held the secret that you spoke,
Before the fragile promise broke.
You traded truth to play the game,
And denied the whisper of my name.
You chose the crowd, you chose the lie,
To hide behind a masked reply.
But secrets heavy as a stone
Are no longer mine to carry alone.
I will not bend for fake regret,
Or waste my heart on what you'd forget.
Let the rumors burn and turn to dust,
I am taking back my trust.
The silence clears, the sting is past,
I step away—free at last.

Mollee Hembree Poem
A quiet pressure in the chest, A shadow where the thoughts abide, When heavy feelings ask for rest And will no longer wait inside.
It starts behind the stinging eyes, A sudden rise, a sudden break, The sudden drop of all disguise, The simple give after the ache.
A silent drop along the cheek, Unasked, unbidden, cool and slow, When words are far too weak to speak The truths the heart already knows.
It is not weakness, nor defeat, To let the overflowing spill, To feel the bitter and the sweet, And let the noisy world go still.
And when the final tear is shed, The air grows clearer than before, A lighter burden left ahead, A softer step across the floor.

Mollee Hembree Poem
Fifteen months ahead of me,
A steady hand I couldn't see.
When all the world was dark and cold,
You held the shelter I could hold.
Through foster doors and shifting ground,
You were the anchor that I found.
You raised me up, you stood up tall,
And kept me safe through it all.
Now high school starts, the days move fast,
I act out on the days gone past.
I give you grief, I make you sigh,
And let my attitude run high.
But suddenly the smoke gives way,
I see the debt I cannot pay.
The hidden burdens that you bear,
The quiet ways you show you care.
I see it now, the truth is clear:
You’ve been my strength through every year.
I’m sorry for the noise I make
Thank you for every step you take.

Mollee Hembree Poem
I’m writing this to tell you I am sorry,
For the time we lost and words left unsaid.
When I heard about your motorcycle accident,
Fear and realization filled my head.
We don’t see you as much as we used to,
And living apart makes the distance feel wide,
But knowing how close we came to losing you
Brought every hidden emotion back inside.
I think of our house and everyone in it—
Lily, Alissa, Aubrey, and Jaxon,
And how every single one of us needs you,
Because nobody else could ever be our mother.
I realize now how much you truly mean to me,
How precious every single moment can be.
I’m sorry for any distance or anger from the past,
I just want you healed, safe, and happy at last.
We’re all pulling for you.

Mollee Hembree Poem
You call yourself my father but you never even bother to call me your daughter.
I sat for a while thinking about you
I thought that maybe hes on the moon
“Mollee what did you do, to make him leave all of you?”
I realize that it was never my fault
Hes and adult
Why should I blame myself for him walking away, it’s not like i was old enough to tell him to stay
Thinking about him leaving used to hurt more then bleeding.
I'm 14 now and somehow I still don't know why you left
you just settled on theft.

Mollee Hembree Poem
The pain of remembering
Sunlight filtered through the high oak leaves, where summer stretched out long and bright, we scrambled up the mossy bark and reached until we touched the light. Hand over hand, my sister led, no branch too tall, no sky too wide, with scraped-up knees and breathless laughs, and all the universe inside.
Down in the yard, the cool blue pool waited to catch our cannonballs, a splash that sent the morning free beyond the wooden garden walls. We raced across the surface tension, underwater, eyes open wide, a pod of dolphins bound together by the pull of the shifting tide.
When shadows grew across the grass, the yard became a battleground, for hide-and-seek and Tag you're it, and every secret spot we found. We ran until our lungs were fire, until the porch light flickered on, collecting moments in our hands before the golden day was gone.
Now time moves fast and miles stretch out, but locked inside the heart remains the echo of those summer shouts, the quiet after summer rains. A tangled web of laughing voices, a fortress built of grass and sun— the gentle weight of growing up together, bound as more than one.
We are not that young anymore.

Mollee Hembree Poem
A glowing lantern in the dark,
A quiet, silver, distant spark.
It dances through the velvet night,
And paints the world in pastel light.
Without a sound,
it shifts its grace,
From slender crescent to full face.
A watchful guide for dreaming eyes,
The silent giant of the skies.
