To you, I must always be veridical,
The amor I have, will invariably be plentiful.
I'm in shock and awe, at how hard I fallen,
On hands and knees, I'd come crawlin.
A twinkling gleam, that dances in your eyes,
You're sparkling smile, that makes me think I want a prize.
Fine tone arms, I long to embrace,
Not being able to hide, the smile etched upon my face.
A gentle touch, from your angelic hand,
Would make me quiver, with the end of my hair, would stand.
Slender back, giving way to an exquisite rear,
To tell you I love you, I'll not ever fear!

My love stays strong each passing year,
Sister, you were just like my right hand,
Dying too young, our mother's worst fear,
To see the future, couldn't be done.
Anorexia took your youth and body,
Truly your life had just begun,
Open and shut like a fist in karate.
Our time spent together was too short,
Family and friends were torn apart,
Up in smoke not able to thwart,
To keep appearances nothing left to carte.
The tax on your body you paid the fee,
Predominantly killed both and kind,
Fatal issues that we didn't see,
Disease that clouded both are minds.

Dividing the lines that are indistinguishable and blurred,
Separating realities, looking for a cure,
Mending the inequities,
That have made my heart impure.
Contradicting visions, cloud my mind,
Opening avenues to help define,
Indiscriminate thoughts I won't resign,
Heart and soul, together align.
To myself, I'll always be true,
Lanes open, down a new avenue,
Life now shining a brighter hue,
Troubles now are but a few.
Tossing away associates, relying on Friends,
Impure thoughts, my mind tries to bend,
Battling sobriety, I'll always fend,
Making life better, there's a means to the end.
So moving forward, I will not rest
Giving him to thoughts that I detest,
Tossing impure emotions, that I have best,
Staying sober in this never-ending quest.

Ignorance and stupidity surround me day to day
Criticism and hypocrites worthless with nothing good to say,
Gods and totems get on your knees and pray
Men and women molded from the same clay,
Angels and demons fight for you and me
Good guys bad guys contemplate if you will flee,
Love and hate is there for all to see
Life and death close to intimacy,
Fact or fiction can it be false or true
Start and finish read until you're through,
Negative or positive working right on cue
Rational or arbitrary the numbers the dice will do,
Salt and sugar my love is bittersweet
Peaceful or violent my passion can't be beat,
Yin or Yang without either it won't complete
Similar or opposite until we finally meet.

Goodbye to heroin,
Goodbye to cocaine,
I truly wish I hadn't, let you know my name.
At first I used to sniff you,
Looking forward to the drip,
All the while not realizing, how strong you had a grip.
Days turn to months,
Months then turn to years,
Losing all inhibition, giving in to unbridled fears.
My days began in a cooker,
Nights ended there as well,
The wheels go round and round, in this ever waking hell.
Sucking brown liquid through the cotton,
So I can then shoot it in my vein,
Life gets harder and harder, weighted down by these chains.
Slowly things are coming together,
In the sober life I chose,
Just like the phoenix, from the ashes I Rose.

In the quiet chambers of my mind,
Where emotions paint and intertwine,
They're dwells a longing soft and kind,
Of gentle touch of hands in mind.
A desire that whispers through the night,
In dreams where beauty takes its flight,
A vision of you my guiding light,
My love, my wife, my heart's delight.
Your presence is a melody,
A song of love that sets me free,
In every moment spent with thee,
I find my soul's Sweet symphony.
So let us walk this life's vast shore,
With love that deepens ever more,
Through every trial, through every door,
Together, forever, mi amor.

Thoughts and memories,
Of things I hold dear,
My sister my mother,
Father I love you, wish I was near.
Inside I quiver,
The tears come and go,
Hospital to hospital,
With the doctors that know.
Congestive fluid buildup,
Heart not keeping with the need,
Failure will be imminent,
Scares me to my knees.
Me I wish I could be helpful,
On this journey you are on,
The moments shared together,
Inside I'll always be fond.

Disassembling the structured Tower,
That I have carefully built around me,
Opening up locked away emotions,
In hopes of setting me free.
Fleeting moments passing me by,
Moment sober moments high,
Looking for ways to help define,
The righteous path laid in my mind.
Moving forward limits set,
Don't look back, no regrets,
New paths open begin the trek,
I may stumble but I will not fret.
Closing down my broken ways,
Getting better each new day,
To my Lord I do pray,
The sober times are here to stay.

Thunder booms
Darkness sets, upon the room.
Raindrops fall
Like cats and dogs
The sky slowly, fills with dense fog.
Puddles form
Rivers flood
Grass slowly, turns to mud.
Lightning flashes
Thunder booms
The sun shines, through the gloom.
Fog lifts
Clouds depart
A new day, begins to start.

Trying to tear down, the walls that I've built,
Layer upon layer, like the finest silt.
A brick at a time, I tried to dismantle,
The process is slow, like a burning candle.
Agonizing and painful, the memories unfold,
Whispers and torment that's never been told.
Fighting sanity, and the right to stay sober,
Wanting nothing more, then to have closure.
Things that happened, weren't always by choice,
Speaking out, is my anguish a voice.
Weaving a tapestry, of lies and deceit,
Not changing my ways, I'm destined to repeat.
Accepting help, is hard for me to do,
You can't do it alone, that statement rings true.
Driving for change, I keep falling short,
Getting in the way, myself I must thwart.
