Rashi Gera Poem
The road not taken or the road that was taken—that was the question back in the day.
Now all I can see is an endless desert,
where even the mirages mock the journey that I made.
I surrender to the haboob.
Now the destination itself is becoming whispers of dust,
And the specks of dust are forgotten, because not every story is to be told.
And this one dissolved softly in heat.

Touched the sky—
this blue isn't mine.
The sea, the greens,
the grass, the bees,
the mighty trees.
Every color touched one life.
Then why does mine deceive the eye?
Borrowing shades from every passing thing
Could that be why
I sit alone in white light?
The palette holds a thousand colors,
yet none can paint me.
It's always what meets the eye.
The palette never seemed mine.

Sitting in a corner,
My wings still rest beside me.
The gate stands open—
I just don't remember
how to fly.
I used to chase the breeze
And loved to hum every rhyme
I remember every wild ride
The storms that broke my stride
Nonetheless,I got up again for a new flight
The bruises on my wings are far less,
And my own mind
Still pecks at every feather.
The dark horizon is gathering shadows

All the vanishing wings,
And here I am—
Marooned away
Will I learn to fly one day,
Or stay caged away?

Twigs that should have entwined together
Rest far apart
Is all there is to us-
The tree that stands tall
Look at you, so strong
The flowers,fruits -
A beautiful embellishment
The scent so mesmerising,it paints everything in your color
Even with such heat
You grew brighter than sunshine...
The strongest branch in tree , still aiming for the sky
Every leaf whistles a different story
Even the dry leaves rejoice
Maybe the nature will bend its laws
And let the parallels meet
The roots too are still strong
Maybe—
there, we'll entwine.
