IRIS

IRIS
Little Jane ran to Mike
Joyfully jumping and hugging
Mike elated after long trip
Jane points to calm Iris
Linda, sweet Iris so listless,
Our sweet birdie not talking,
Over a week, Linda said teary eyes.
No singing, no wise crack, no mimic.
Mike held parrot with heavy heart.
Doctors after doctors node their head,
Final answer bulbar A L S
Came as stone on head.
Linda screamed why god why ?

IT'S TIME

IT’S TIME

Woman gave birth to boy,
Nurture them with joy
Made them man with lots of hope
Man full of force reach the top
Only to create glass ceiling to stop
Dashing woman’s hope.
Cherished breast as infant
celebrated them in centerfold
Grabbing and groping became norm
Define manhood by screwing around
It’s time for women to confront
It’s time for women to demand
It’s time for women to command
Push back Weinsteins n Cosby’s of universe

tomorrow

Tomorrow
Sitting next to you, you asked my name
Stunned as I was I knew it was too late
You Laughed‚ when I smile and sad when cried
You never question my drive
Always help me strive
I stayed busy as child in study and sport
Stayed busy with family and job
I always waited for tomorrow
To say I am because of you
Life’s up n down the way you tackle
Incidences and coincidences
Inevitable and avoidable the way you steered
Inspires me, Guide me with cheers
The tomorrow never came
Now it is too late, too late, too late
I love you Dad, I love you a lot
I regret to have waited for tomorrow
Which never came.

regret

Regret
Journey was never straight nor easy
As River going thru jungle and valley
Pleasure and regret storm the mental
Regrets are rough, pleasure gentle.
Making you travel alone on home
Leaving you home alone for no gain
Letting you walk alone to school
And bringing in cat to fight ridicule
Still I neither know why or what for
Don’t blame you for feeling I am stone
You have made us happy and proud
Regrets are mine, fun is ours
Let the journey continues for ever.
