The Elements

The fire consumes our souls
The wind spreads the fire
The earth catches the sparks
The water destroys the funeral pyre.

Unfinished

He might as well have died
A stranger in my eyes
Hurt, Angry and sad
Why did you forget me dad?
I wanted things to last that way forever
You were someone I once treasured
Perfect in my mind
I can't find the strength to cry
Am I weak or is it that bad?
To feel something besides these things I'd be glad
To enjoy the better memories I have
Am I ungrateful?
It's more than they ever had

I want to save my brother from the same fate
The loss of someone you love can drive you insane
He's someone else now, a different person lost in a maze
In a different world, another plane
Sometimes I want to be there with him
But I'm afraid I'd lose my way too

True Love

As my mind began to corrode.
I never knew what price I owed.
You went to the underworld,
and I followed you to Hell.
My soul was strong enough to break away,
and you tried to fight off the devil in vain.

I found those chains melting away
And I heard you calling my name.
I wanted to leave you behind.
I wanted to watch you suffer.
I found my conscience and I hatefully helped you.
You smiled at me even through all of your pain,
And my thoughts of anger floated away.

I realized that I still loved you.

Memories

Falling darkness and sad sighs
All she knew had turned to lies
Betrayals wrapped up in her tattered soul
Tearing apart her plans and goals

She's so lovely when she cries.
Tear stained cheeks under clouded eyes
Love hurts sometimes but this is agony
Yet she continues to hope of being happy

Bent and broken as her heart.
Bleeding and hurting from the shards
Stabbing at wounds
Ripping scabs apart

She felt his hand wipe her tears away
Never knew her pain would fade
And even though this was just a dream
She knew how great her life might be.

In the Dark

Living in the dark,
Seeing what the shadows see.
Wandering down strange hallways
that almost seem to close in on me

I try to run
I try to flee,
but still these halls close in on me.

I try to reach out for the light
It fades away,
the shadows bite.
I won't go down without a fight.

The shadows fall,
the sun does rise
I'm safe again
I will not die

I wake up safely in my room.
I've saved myself from certain doom.
and only in my darkest dreams
is nothing ever as it seems.

A Message To Remember

A whisper in the wind
quiet but real
can you hear the message
the earth wants you to feel
vibrations in the air
Sadness from those
who forgot how to care
If you knew how to break the cycle
Pain would fade
but would you dare?

Moonlit Oblivion

My salvation is the night
Everything shall fade along with light
You no longer see with your eyes
You must now listen to the reflections
Can you hear the quiet?

A dark curtain hangs over eternity
Nothing can be said with certainty
Death is a familiar friend indeed
The fear of happiness hides your need
Are you afraid?!

Fiction

Words are like magic,
A journey to the other side
Following the heroes of fiction
into scenarios we hope for ourselves
The flame in the back of a creative mind flickers
Inspiration gathered from the shadowed hearts of mankind
Telling tales of noble deeds and gallant steeds that saved the world as we know it.
The written story takes us somewhere that we could never get to without the help of a
good book.
