Poetry Anonymous Poem
We breathe in the shadows, perfecting the lie,
While the truth of us screams in a hushed lullaby.
I am stained by that kiss—by the heat, by the sin,
By the way that you let me and the cold universe in.
You were the brave one, the first to break through,
But now I am haunted by the ghost of you.
I am tearing apart in the way i wait for your touch,
Loathing the fact that I want you this much.
Was it a whim? Just a flicker of grey?
Or does the same fever consume you today?
The unknown is a killer, deep in the vein,
A craving for pleasure that’s indistinguishable from pain.
The guilt is a shadow I can't seem to shed,
A heavy, dark cover I wear in bed.
When the world demands we play out our part,
In the wreckage of us, hold me in your heart.
I am drowning in "maybe”, in secrets and salt,
Loving you feels like a beautiful fault.
If this is a ruin, let the heavy stone fall,
But if you are with me—if you feel it all—
Then let the shame burn until we are apart,
And forever, please, hold me in your heart.

Poetry Anonymous Poem
Memories that unfold in the moments we leave untold
The reminders that come from the moments we shared
the bodies we traced
the looks we glared
We were something so complex, so distorted, so vulnerably bare
We were built on a trust that wasn’t earned though given so easily
Through words of lust that were taken as law
as promise
That a mind so young couldn’t see was so wrong which lie to overbearing for a mind so unforgiving
To real for something so unwilling
we fell into mixed feelings
with deep conversation
and a timeline ticking away our moments
That could of thought to be our always
into memories and afterthoughts that come with brief silence or stories
we knew heartbreak was the consequence
For our complexity and deception
We tried to hard to not, to push away, to betray
The issue lay this, that with others I tried and pleaded to love, just love them I ply,
just half the way I do for thy
I just couldn’t, I can’t
Though with you I don’t want to
love I mean, I don’t
don’t want something so pained and unfair
but i can’t think of anything but
For if I'm not in my own inner workings
betraying myself
This act of being fine
Like I’m not laying out of mind
Then it is you accompanying me within mine
Replaying like a story unwilling to die
Because it’s ending wasn’t written
Just abruptly subside
By a period used wrong
In a spot so perfectly right.
and you can’t deny.. for something so wrong has never felt so worth the fight.
