everything is an endeavour

I endeavoured to feel the candle,
its thermal luminescence infused my heart,
with its melancholy palpitation
the dreary cold is my
only refuge. 
traversing thoughts
my candle flutters to oblivion 
the stampede in my head is dancing around
no matter how many steps i take 
its not enough
to emancipate me of myself 
caged in my mind
why
why is it I cant even survive
in the company of me?
