A Friend

I’ve always wanted a friend. 
One who would understand the twisted and complex thoughts of my mind.
One who would see me in my despair and reach into the stars to make me happy again.
One who would care and help me as I would care for them.

A friend who knows all my faults and fractures, 
And yet is still here. 
Waiting in the room of my life 
when many have failed to stay.

 I only wanted one. And yet, I've got many.
And to find a friend like that is like two universes colliding,
creating the utmost chaos that in the end brings harmony and peace. 

So I ask of you this: when you find that friend, 
That friend who will be with you in your depressing seasons and euphoric spells,
That friend with whom you could talk about how the sun is never crescent and the moon is never full,
Keep them in the tiny folds of your heart, and never let them go.
