Deborah Ennis Poem
This Title
I desired this title
The becoming of a mother
I immersed myself in the odyssey
Discarding all that was solitary
I can see the seasons more clearly
As they guide me through your years
Until you no longer need to hold my hand
Until your footprints are larger than mine in the sand
My happiness in having birthed you will change
Allowing me to grow the child into the adult

Deborah Ennis Poem
Becoming You
If an introvert shed their skin
Would they suddenly become extra
Excell at being themselves
Stride into the middle of conversations
Taking the largest slice of a pie
With no desire to apologize
