Truth

Life is my power

Fire is my flesh

In every hour

Essences clash

Burn through the darkness

Into the dream -

Hear me and mark this,

Truth will not seem

Anything pure

Nor anything dark -

Truth will for sure

Be nothing like stark -

Over the ground

And around the lake

Truth coils around

And then stings like a snake.

There is a daylight

When things are true

And there is twilight

When all you knew

Vanishes, fades

And then blends into one -

Into the shades

And away from the sun:

Into oblivion

Into the void

Into obsidian

Chasms. Thus destroyed,

Truth yields to lies

And then soars like a lark

When people's eyes

Are tired of the dark.

The Flowers Of Love

The flowers of love

That you gave to me

Have blossomed, have blossomed

And under the flaming sky

And in the impalpable sunlight

Pieces of me

Percolated from far edges of the universe

And together merged into love.

For when I say

That I love

The meaning is this:

That my heart is fire.

That my mouth is parched.

That my hands are full of bruises.

That my eyes burn holes in the walls.

Love me.

Love me like cloud loves lightning

Love me like tenderness loves intensity

Love me like galaxy loves the quasar

Love me like orchid loves rain.

Feel my fire

Running through you

Feel my fire

Without end or beginning

Feel my fire

As I burn for you

Feel my fire

Feel my fire.

We can't be together

But I burn for you

You love me from afar

But I burn for you

There are miles between us

But I burn for you

But I burn for you day and night.

The flowers of love

Can be seen

Sometimes in meadows

Sometimes in vases

And sometimes near people's gravestones

And sometimes someone would water them

Hoping to keep them around for a while.

So do not mind me

No, do not mind me

As I water

The flowers

Of love

That you gave to me

With something extraordinary

With something red and viscous

With something that carries nutrients

With the very blood

Of

My

Heart.

Beauty Of Your Soul

When I behold the beauty of your soul,
I see the diamonds fine and cut apart
That have through years been compacted from coals
As tragedies heaved on your precious heart.

The diamonds, sharp and potent and yet fragile
Attainment of the matter of the earth
And you - so tender, delicate, and agile
Each day a death - and in it a rebirth:

To grow through agony and through the heartache
And never to give in, but to give more:
And greet each day with joy and light and passion
As though it was to last forevermore:

To give your all, and still to give to people -
To do all that you can and further still:
To be your greatest and the most simple:
Accomplishment of love directing will:

Thus to remain ethereal and uplifted
And show the truth of what on earth can be
When one so lovely, generous and gifted
As you, can live and fathom and be free -

And show what life can be, as it's intended,
Embodied in resplendent heart - that's you -
Where present and eternity are blended
And life's sublimity can bloom anew.

The beauty of your soul, when seen completely,
Is timeless, endless, exquisite and true
And so my sweet, I say to you discretely:
The diamond of the universe is you.

Heart Of Darkness

Into the heart of darkness,

Viciousness and despair -

Into the very Tartarus -

Enters the prince of Air.

Ceiling is bleak and starless.

Nobody knows your name.

Inside the heart of darkness

Flickers an open flame.

Everywhere, creeps and scoundrels

Feeding upon the souls.

Under the heart of darkness,

Broken glass and coals.

Think that I might take flight, less

I also burn to death.

But through the heart of darkness

I must create a path.

Something ignites and startles

Amid the sulfur fumes.

Inside the heart of darkness

Torment of souls resumes.

Demons and fiends and gargoyles

Crowd me on every side

As through the heart of darkness

I take a tourist ride.

Skin catches fire and sparkles

And from it pours hot blood.

Within the heart of darkness,

Boiling and ruddy flood.

"Have you lost all your marbles?"

"If I did, would I care?"

Inside the heart of darkness

I can't tell here from there.

Place is unmapped and chartless.

All roads lead to Rome -

That is, to heart of darkness -

And from it rises foam.

Nothing is seen apart; yes,

Mirrors on every wall

Reflect the heart of darkness

At everyone and all.

Evil has many partners

And many a disguise.

Look in the heart of darkness

And train your ears and eyes.

You cannot tell apart us,

Me and the souls on fire.

It burns, the heart of darkness,

Outside, inside, and higher.

Where do I stand or start? Yes,

Write with a piece of chalk

Map of the heart of darkness

Upon a lotus stalk -

Lotus that, like most marvels,

Grows in the thickest mud

And through the heart of darkness

Reaches to heart of God -

There will be no more markers

Upon my path, as I

Burn through the heart of darkness

Into the open sky.

Lost Mind

I lost my mind today -

		 Oh boy -

and all the thoughts I had

 	just seemed to vanish

 	 in the haze

 	surrounding my head

	It seemed so wise -

 			so potent -

		so infinitely dull -

complete with thought, effete with pomp

			emblazoned on its skull.

			An ounce of heart

	a pound of spleen

			a smattering of phlegm

	A bit of code

				a bunch of will

And a thick soup of memes:

		All this was all mixed

 			and cut to bits

		A chewy marble blend

		From which I built

 		A vague relief

		Of life that I intend:

Where has it gone, do tell me?

		Where is my upscale mind?

				I look without,

		I look within,

		But nothing can I find.

It seems the mind has melted

		And I must build anew

		Today's mind-melded structure

With but a quart of glue.

I Died For Beauty

I died for beauty – twas my choice

To end my life this way;

In every note of her voice

Was universe at play:

Twas sparkling, shining, shimmering,

Twas elegant and bright,

In it the world was glimmering

As I then held her tight.

I died for beauty – as I did

My lifeforce to her went

And from the shackles it her freed

To live by her intent:

She needed lifeforce to be strong

And then to carry on

With universe to get along

And sing again her song.

I died for beauty, so it lives,

Is by me fertilized,

Shimmers and glimmers and conceives

And is now realized,

And though I died, what it gave birth

Was better than was I,

And now is set upon her course

To grow and multiply.

To Know You From The Inside

To know you from the inside

To feel that which you feel

Will give me all your wisdom

And make my passion real.

I'll put myself in places

Where you have been, and still,

I look at all the traces

Of where you've been.

I will Internalize your goodness

And make it part of me;

Your every thought and mood is

My own, and mine will be -

Your talent, inspiration,

The life that you have known -

Thought and imagination

And beauty that you've shown -

Will live within my heart, and

Lead me into the light -

Chash barriers apart and

Merge into day - and night -

The beauty of your spirit,

Your tenderness of heart -

Be mine, and have no fear of

The mind that falls apart

Before your precious splendor

And elegance and warmth -

Who loves? Who will surrender

 And tap into its force?

Who will reach into clouds?

Who will the truth impart?

Who'll bless or shout out loud

Or climb into my heart?

I seek the truth and wisdom

And knowing what I've heard

I'll feel you from the inside

And in it find the world.

Not in life will I ever forget you

not in life will i ever forget you

even if i don't see you again

even if all i feel is regret and

a sharp uncontrollable pain

you were elegant, sweet and tender,

you were brilliant, artful and kind,

you were painting deliciously rendered

and a masterpiece of a mind

years and oceans are now between us

years and oceans of time and space

but whatever is here, can see us,

and the memories don't get erased -

how much more can i say that i loved you

how much more than i can feel and see

on a rock at the dawn in the sunrise

a soft cloud of you, shirtless, and me -

thirteen years down the road - why now?

just because it was truer than life

in it, what, who, where and how

are impaled on the end of a knife -

which is sometimes twisting and turning

to wake up what i knew in my mind

to remind me of passion and yearning

and the beauty that was left behind -

you will always be there, won't you, truly?

when i need it, will you not be here?

and the world we have known, won't it fully

in the day, in the night, reappear?

and the splendor we've known and the torment

will it not come back, time and again

to make endlessness of each moment

and a door into truth made of pain -

and the world that we knew, not regretting,

i will come to, in joy or in wrath -

not in life will i ever forget you

nor in death, nor in death, nor in death.

Deniers

To the tune of "Russians" by Sting

In America and Australia there's a growing hysteria

Comparing those who see global warming threat

To the North Koreans and the Soviets.

Mr. Inhofe said scientists lied to you,

I don't subscribe to that point of view

It's such an ignorant thing to tell

I hope deniers love their kids as well.

How can I save my little girl from the rule of Texas Oil?

We see misuses of common sense

By those the Right side of political fence

They don't care about biology

But only their false ideology

Believe me when I say to you

I hope deniers love their children too.

These people claim rationality as they deny planetary reality

And believe to be the soul of the nation as they practice prevarication

Freedom and wealth do not require

To burn oil or set rainforests on fire.

Mr. Limbaugh said it can't be true,

I don't subscribe to that point of view,

It's such an ignorant thing to tell

I hope deniers love their kids as well.

The facts of climatology

Are not dependent on ideology

What might save us, me, and you

Is if deniers love their children too.

Side Of River

We'll run to the side of the river

In the morning at five o'clock

We'll hold each other and shiver

And run out to the rock

We'll take off our shirts together

And hold each other undressed

Around us the birds will gather

And in our love build a nest

We'll put our heads together

And watch, as the speedy stream

Is dressed in every color

And turns into a dream -

The pink cloud of the sun rising

Engulfs our minds and hearts

And makes them warm and wise and

With all of nature, smart -

The delicacy of existence

Ephemerality of life

Will penetrate with no resistance

And pierce into us like a knife -

The tenderness of our passion

And elegance of your mind

In English, in French, in Russian

Will hold us intertwined

Poems will fly around us

As music us enslaves -

Cosmic opera astounds us

And mingle with the waves -

The works of Bethoven, Chopin,

Blake, Wordsworth, Shakespeare and Keats

Will our minds and hearts open

And feed them spiritual sweets -

And fired by our desires,

Together, as in a dream,

We'll blend into the sunrise

And like the sun we will beam.
