Faith

When You Despair
There are times when bad things happen to the Best of us.
When we try to push these things inside and handle them ourselves we surrender to the
darkness.
It gives an opening for the grief and despair to take hold.
The darkness can spread and surround us.
Like a freezing fog it envelopes us and keeps us from the light and makes the heart grow
cold and dark.
You feel alone and unloved even when surrounded by family and friends.
It is up to you then.
It is up to you to look hard into the fog and darkness.
Look hard and see the shimmer of what could be light.
Look into the light and you will see a hand.
It is up to you to trust and reach out for that hand.
If you choose not to trust and reach out you are doomed to freeze and wither and die slowly
from the inside.
If you trust and reach out for the hand it will bring you to the light of those who love you.
It will bring you to a place where you can unfreeze your heart and set your soul free.
Let go of what hurt you and look for the hands that are extended to you every day my
friends.
Stay away from despair and fall into the arms of love and light

Midnight Angel

I awoke late in the night
I turned to put my arm around my wife
I noticed the silver-blue moonlight dance across her face
It showed off all her features, her beauty and her grace
I rubbed my eyes and looked twice to see
What I thought was a halo on the pillow between her and me
The sheets looked like the wings of an angel holding her so tight
And she put her head into my chest and pulled me into her light
I felt my demons leave and my soul set free
By the light of an angel next to me
I felt the warmth of her body and could feel her breathe
A real life angel sent to deliver me
She opens her eyes and says “everything’s alright”?
I kiss her on the forehead and say “back to sleep baby, its mid-night”
She puts her head to my chest and drifts back to sleep
Into my heart her love flows deep
My fingers running through her hair
My heart knows no despair
And the moon moves on behind the clouds
I can sleep peacefully now

On the Wind

The wind is calling her name tonight
It whispers her beauty in my ear
It blows her breath across my neck
It blows her scent past my nose
Although she is far from me
The wind brings her to me
And with the wind we sail to sky
The wind is calling her name tonight
It has me waiting to hear again
Oh wind...........

Passing Storm

The thunder crashes and the storm rolls in
My mind drifts
I think of you again
The rain comes down in sheets
I think of you
my heart skips a beat
The lighting splits a tree
I don’t notice the storm
For you are here with me
