A View for Those Left Behind

Every morning,
Hope returns to the world.
Those who mark the day's arrival greet it,
Leaping out,
Moved by instinct,
Spreading wings,
Carried by the movement of others.

All waiting leads to this—
When the earth regains its vitality
Fallen leaves become fertilizer
Years flow past like water.

Caught between the two lines of days
In a black and white portrait
Endless, unmoved, unchanged—

"What is the meaning of greeting the sunrise?"

My sun is already down.

Sanctuary

Book in my hand,
Sentences beneath our fingers.
Through it, we find shelter.

Lost in a nameless land,
Then taking on a new role.

Showered by golden rays,
Washed by the whispering winds.
Put on our glasses and tune out everything.

Turning the page,
Writing a new chapter.

Together,
Let’s take a peek at our bookmarked place
Staring at the happy ending or lamenting it—

After all,
We vanish from the pages of time.

Charmed by Belonging

A scavenger was invited to
The land of preservation
The breath of life
Gave him shelter and food.

Alongside his peers,
The fortress of beasts
Shielded him from the elements—

Stepping outside to
Repay their benevolence.
This scavenger returns,

Looking for an answer...

To the grass trampled underfoot,
Leaves plucked without thought,
Fruits are severed from branches.

How is it possible that
Those who came to this world first—

Let us,
The ones who only take
Still upright among them?

The serenity that comes,
As if spread over eternity—
Is all I need to hear...

A blessing for us is
A price they've paid to stay.

This is how it is

A praying mantis
Jumps over the morning dew
A hen’s beak waiting

The Second Grave

To anyone who has entrusted
Their spirit to one who has departed—
And now,
Who will inherit that
Hollow vessel?

Here lies a young boy—
A warm corpse,
Dormant upon a grave.
With ivy as his cloak,
And green moss as his cushion.

An arch of stars serves as a roof,
The biting night breeze dispels his foggy head,
The shadow of a small gravestone props up his back,
The cold of winter sparks a fire in his memory.

Lying there—
A spirit without an occupant,
A boy who has lost his anchor,
A man separated from his grave.

Circle of Experience

Sky tears fill a calm heart with memories

Crystal clear images ripple on the lake

Sentiments condense along the river of time

Overlooked and left behind—

Still,
finding their way back to the sea.

The Edge of my view

A nobody cast into a sea of duties
Drowning in confusion and being dragged
By the turbulent tides
A vulnerable thing tossed
By the waves of prejudice.

Opening my mouth—
to scream a single word

Stretching my hand—
to reach where nothing holds—

Bearing a sense of emptiness
Pressing into my spine.

Struggling to retain my sanity
with a single thread—

A rotten rope
stretched between various dreams
While suppressing nostalgia for
The golden silhouette of the wrinkled past.

In this small patch of blue,
With a wave of her hand
I could say it....
clearly, without doubt—
She's my sky.

Mask of Survival

I live with a mask
A mask of survival
As if it were natural.

With hatred and disgust
I search,
For authenticity.

Walking with falsehood, yet still hoping
For sincerity.

Carrying a sense of unworthiness
Cracks in my mask—
I move forward,

Chasing your silhouette.

A Prayer that won't be heard

I heard a voice,
a static laugh, playing on a cassette tape
A muffled cry, looped into a comedy show.

Buzzing, ringing, echoing...

It keeps repeating—
Piercing through to bone,
Gripping my chest as if
My fingers might crush it—
Opening my mouth to
Spit out my heart.

A vast cage called home,
A bleak stage called family...

"Can’t this relationship go beyond rights and duties?"

No matter how desperate,
Or how much I beg—

There is no return,
Neither safe escape
Nor a crossroads...

Acceptance would never come.

Our Lunar Path

For every wayfarer,
Who gazes through
A veil of gloom.

Those who seek their name
In the countless
Distant points of white
In the firmament.

Leaving behind those bound by their names—
And those who descend
Into the glow of others.

Unable to face
Obscurity
Without closing their eyes.

"Why do wayfarers march
Across trampled grass?"

Reflecting my ignorance
As I continue on my path—

Cutting through the weeds,
Against an insistent wind
A part of me refuses to give in,
Only to crawl back.

A lingering memory calls out—

Unlike the moon,
Whose rays bless
An entire world

This star
Shines only upon me.
