Hidden in Plain Sight

You can find me
Hidden in plain sight
Through the ebbs and flows of life
Through the cracks and veins
Of the Acropolis’ stones

You can run into me
In the most shadowy corners
Of suburban alleys
Skating fluidly on metal bars
Impervious to any scratches and scars

You can spot me
At the first bolt of sunrise
Skimming over the water
Until the twilight fall

You can come across me
During your rest at that cozy inn
At the end of the downhill road
Or
During your usual antics in that rowdy tavern
Lit by endless stained-glass lamps
Whilst drinking from a bulky glass of beer
Enjoying the company of your peers

Who am I?
Perhaps
The reflection of the light
The darkest shadow of the night
Wandering freely before your eyes

It is me, right?
The one you claim
To be hard to find
To identify
To pinpoint in space and time

Well
I am all over the world
I am the elephant in the room
Boldy and gracefully stepping outside
At all hours of the day and night
For I
Am the essence of life
Always hidden in plain sight

Dream of a Summer that Never Was

Last night
I dreamt of you.

You were alone and carefree,
you rode the waves
of the dazzling Malibu coastline
until sunset,
until the day
gave way
to beautiful pinkish-orange shades.

I dreamt of summer,
of the reflections
of the golden dawn
in your copper eyes.

And, perhaps,
it’s best to leave you there,
in that eternal land
made of dreams and nostalgia
for unlived experiences,
imagery and reveries
of long-gone summers
spent laughing and soaking
in the sparkling seascape,
in that glittering scenery
filtered by tangerine-dyed lenses.

A Marble Spell

Dear Ancient Well,
what can your wisdom
possibly tell
about that marble guy
for whom every lady
her soul would likely sell?

Upon them he'd cast a spell,
turning their bodies into cold stone,
a crystal clear marble
reflecting the skies above.

"Oh dear, my love,
I'm bound to say farewell,
for I, forever and ever,
will belong to hell."

That's what he'd always tell
right after casting his spell
beside his beloved ancient well.

A twisted tale,
picturing a lad
so cold and yet so frail:
his gaze so unfazed,
yet his clothes quite jaded.

"How could someone not fail
in the attempt to rescue me
from my own mental jail?"

Many answers had yet to be found,
for he was still trapped and question-bound:

"Where is the love of my life?
Someone who'll succeed
to make my cry,
and smile
and feel alive?"

"Is it that outlandish,
for this marble heart of mine,
to desire a rainbow princess as a bride?
Sweet and pink in her attire,
though with a demeanour so wild,
she’d fight against all odds
to stay by my side,
knowing, deep inside her heart,
that she'll never expire."

An Isle above the Sky

There’s an isle in the sky,
up there,
above the celestial vault,
beyond
the stars and clouds.

A sacred and pristine place,
explored by few,
unshakeable in its peace it stays,
patiently waiting
for the pioneers of the New World,

the ones brave enough
to go further than the skyline
of the “already known”;

the ones equipped with a foresight
that goes beyond
their own earthly eyes;

the fellows who dare to challenge
the passage of time
and call themselves "New Paradise”,
reaching the top of the sky
while still being alive.

Volcanic Substance

Emotional turmoil
Sudden surges of recoil
Bursting flames of rage

Black chunks of coal
Purged from the soul
Embers of grief and regret

Once Upon a Winter Dream

I still remember that dream

It was a cathedral,
coated in the snow
of a neverending frozen winter

Tall and towering,
yet still gracious,
there it was,
with its tiny glassy peaks,
piercing the sky above

Meanwhile, here I was,
dancing and floating mid-air,
followed by a swarm of snowflakes
constantly whirling around me
and losing themselves
in the frost of this eternal dream

Rainbow Nerd

Restless nights made of pixels and stardust
Alt 29
I watch him halting between left and right
No-signal TV looms in a distant dark corner
Boisterous music befriends a stealthy black stereo
Olympic games run on the PC
Winner title appearing on the screen

Nothing fulfills him more than a cyber marathon
Ecstasy rushing through his veins
Refilled with unending virtual noises
Dumbfounded by countless choices

Eternal Sunshine

What can I possibly do
with all these sun beams
trapped in my hair locks
and permeating every fiber of my being?

All these everlasting days
and everchanging nights,
could they be written by a poet
who tapped into their eternal shine?

For all of us
can be the poets of our own lives:
all it takes is one fragment
of eternal sunshine.

Astrological Revolution

What I am going to expose is quite the art:
It is a part
Of my delicious delirious birth chart.

"Who am I?"
I know perfectly what's required:
A shard of astrological insight.

I am a Libra,
Lover of the art of communication,
Seeker of balance and liberation
With a thing for occasional hesitation.

I am a Scorpio,
Sharp and aware,
Will never tell you a fake tale.
Digging deep
Into the core of your being,
Searching for the truth I
Could spot a lie
In the blink of an eye.

I am an Aquarius,
Creative, dreamy and free,
A visionary innovator,
Will never be
My inner world’s traitor.

I am a Taurus,
Building legacy and foundation
For my own inner nation,
Steady on my values,
With an adoration
For pleasure and fashion.

I am a Sagittarius,
The dashing adventurer,
The everlasting traveller
Finding the most gratification
In novelty and exploration.
After ages
Of dormancy and grief,
I escaped countless cages
And unlearned false beliefs:
“You must not”
“Not possible for you”
“Beware, this is factual for only few”.

From the Sun Rising above the Moon
To the Seventh House awakening at noon,
I'll untie my fiery Lilith real soon,
For, now, I know
That beyond the horizon
Of what I’ve already grown
Something bigger is waiting:
The blessing
Of the New and the Unknown.

Pewter Goblets

Pewter goblets
Tin and copper
The last remnants
Of ancient taverns
And olden abodes
Of bygone memories
From bloodthirsty pirates
And poisonous wine
