God's Space Travel

Man thinks he is so smart,
by putting people into space.
God did this many years ago,
Without rockets or a base.
Enoch walked right into space;
For God himself took him out.
He had no Shuttlecraft,
And he went without a doubt.
Elizah had a whirlwind,
For a rocket can,t you see,
No fuel or craft was needed,
God planned it all for free.
Jesus went upon a cloud,
Ascending out of sight.
He also promises us a trip,
We'll need no rocket for the flight.
Our flight one day into space,
Will be a miraculous one.
We'll be lifted in the air,
On a cloud with the "SON."

God Knows

God knows when we hurt,
for our needs he has the key.
He guides us with His hand,
someday we'll be able to see.
we'll see the meaning of our tears,
maybe not now, but in coming years;
When we get to that better land,
then we will understand.
He knows what is ahead,
for He controls it all.
Just trust in what he said,
and on Him be sure to call.
When folks seem not to care,
and know just how you feel.
Remember God is always there,
He "knows" your pain is real.

God Is On Your Side

God is always with you;
There's no need to worry.
He is on your side;
Even when life is blurry.
God will open His heart;
To your heartaches and woes.
He understands with love,
And His compassion overflowes.
God is on your side.
Praise His Holy name.
He will never leave you.
He'll always be the same.
So lean on Him,
And learn His ways.
He will give you courage;
To face those weary days.

Old Fashion Home

Some people may live in mansions,
But we have an old fashion home.
We are quite a loving family,
Proud of the humble things we own.
We are not very stylish,
Not even up to date,
But God sets our values,
So those we love really rate.
You'll find a world of happiness,
A kind smile on each face.
A welcome you don't want to miss,
I this wonderful friendly place.

August

August
July has come and gone,
With its trees and grass so green.
August has now arrived,
And more beauty it will bring.
God created this month,
With it's summer sun aglow,
And flowers red and gold;
for all this is in His control.
Summer is passing very fast,
Think of its lovely floral design,
And praise our Lord above;
For giving us this special, lovely time.

Great Love

How can Jesus love me so
A love with no end
Deeply rooted and grounded
Never bending with the wind.

Greater love has never been
Than the love Jesus shows
Love forgiving you and me
And great meekness He bestows.

Love extended to each and all
Whether strong or very weak
Even great, or even small
His love, you can always seek.

Jesus love will never fail
It is patient and very kind
Enduring and long suffering
and abideth all the time.

Being Thankful

I am thankful for all things,
That God has given me,
For all the beautiful sights he sends
before my eyes to see.
I am thankful for his love,
And the hope of his glory.
Glory of the things up above,
As told in that grand old story.
I am thankful for His promise of eternal life,
There in that land of peace and rest,
Where there will be no more strife.

Days In the Country

Our country days have begun
With lots of plans for endless fun
Laughter fills the very air
In this beautiful country fair.
Oh my, what a thrill
Playing on the pretty hills
Lying on the mossy slopes
Waving to the country folks.
Off we run after a ball
Trying hard not to fall
Running and shouting with glee
Flying like a bumble bee.
We gaze in childlike wonder
When we hear the sound of thunder
Oh, how could we stop our play
On this our first country day.
But we knew God had sent
The rain, yet our hearts were bent
We thanked Him for our play
And hoped for a another day.

God's Masterpiece

Did you ever see a beautiful rainbow,
Away up in the sky above?
This masterpiece was sent to show,
God's wonderful promise of love.
Oh, the glorious radiant colors,
Coming through the bright sunshine,
Makes you know that over yonder,
Lives the master artist of all time.
This mighty handwork of God.
No human painter could portray.
A picture painted by the masters hand,
In such a glorious array.
Someday we will see once more,
As we have never been shown,
The most perfect of rainbows,
Stretched around God's throne.

April

April is the fourth month,
of our yearly calendar.
A month of many showers,
which brings forth pretty flowers.
It is a season,
where spring can be found.
God is painting pretty pictures,
coming forth out of the ground.
"Spring is here," says April,
"Warmth and color have I."
"God is spreading me with beauty,
     What a wonder, I sigh."
