I'm alone now
I always have been somehow
No one ever comes in
I am in here hiding
Only I have a key
I'm locked inside of me
I'm not letting anybody in
I'm busy thinking
All that doubt
I’m figuring it out
Wondering who to be
Trying to be me
People look through the windows
But nobody knows
I hide behind the curtain
I'm not coming out until I’m certain

I taste sour
They want to eat me whole
Swallow my soul

Headlights stream along the strip
Late night dreamers on a trip
Neon lights shining bright
Everyone's feeling lucky tonight
Crowds bustle on the sidewalk
Wild laughter & small talk
Silhouettes smoking cigarettes
Pink Cadillacs & red Corvettes
High rollers & classy chicks
Cowboys getting their kicks
Sharks in suits
Snakeskin boots
The Devil’s drawing them in
Tempting them with sin
He’s playing them all
Watching them fall
He begins his dance
Playing with chance
Gambling with their soul
He lets the dice roll
All bets are on seven
A trip to heaven
Only the dice will tell
Who’s going to hell
Hundred dollar bills

I don’t know what I want right now
But I want it somehow
You must give it to me
Set me free
You love me too much
Not enough as such
I want more but less
We must figure out which is best
I want you, but I don’t
I want you to leave, but you won’t
I wish you would stay
Please don’t go away
You don’t really know me
I don’t know who to be
All your love has driven me mad
I am happy and yet sad
This love is so complicated
Over sophisticated
You don’t make any sense
You keep talking nonsense
We can work this thing through
Just be someone else & not you
I am actually fine
I just keep losing my mind
Only I can see what’s wrong
It’s you going on & on
You just don’t understand me
That’s the problem, don't you see?
I know we have something good
It’s written in blood
You make me smile
But now it’s over, if only for a while
You are immature with your feelings
You speak with many meanings
