Sierra Taylor Poem
She lives on my shelf
Older than me
Her wise eyes love on me
Gift from great grandmother
Pink little dress and black glassy ahoes
She is mine and I am hers

Sierra Taylor Poem
I can not sleep
Not even a wink
I hear their cries
I hear their Pleads
I feel their sorrow
I feel their pain
All the while
They sit there and wait
Nothing about the sorrow nor the pain
Even reaches their selfish brian
Let alone train of thought
Have we forgot
Happiness
Love
Peace
But I have hopes
I hope for happiness
I hope for love
I hope for peace
But that I can’t enjoy
Not with all the problems and no solutions
Why, I sit here and wonder
Why must we pull one-another under
Can’t we see their pain
their sorrow
As I sit here and wonder
As my mind twists and twirls
With hopes
For happiness
For love
For peace
It all begins with a dream
But I don't have any with no sleep

Sierra Taylor Poem
To make this cake
Open a book
To a page with a poem
Let it take you to clouds
In it hot air balloon of pages and hopes
Harvest the clouds
Feel for the best ones
The ones you wish to live on
Let that take you down
Into its tractor
Made of all the poems ever spoken
Let yourself go
Fetch the milk
From a cow of ink
Go up
Let your emotions rise
Find the words that taste like vanilla
Remember them
Love them
Bring yourself back to earth
Mix all of them together
Bake with the sun
Eat the cake of clouds
Taste the words, the milk, and the clouds
