The First Awareness of God

Poem 1: The First Awareness of God

God is not introduced.
God is noticed.
Awareness arrives quietly.
It does not announce itself with thunder.
It settles into the soul like recognition.
Something has always been there.
You simply begin to feel it.
A presence without form.
A knowing without language.
You sense that life is not accidental.
Moments feel intentional.
Breath feels borrowed.
Silence begins to speak.
You notice beauty differently.
Light feels meaningful.
The heart stirs without explanation.
Questions arise without fear.
Who am I beyond my name?
Why does existence feel sacred?
God does not demand attention.
God waits for awareness.
This awareness humbles the ego.
It softens certainty.
It expands wonder.
You realize you are not alone.
You never were.
The universe feels held.
Time feels guided.
You feel seen without being watched.
Loved without being chased.
Awakening is not conversion.
It is remembrance.
It is the soul recognizing its source.
Nothing changes outwardly.
Everything changes inwardly.
Faith begins before belief.
God becomes felt before understood.
This awareness is the beginning of relationship.

Learning to listen

Poem 2: Learning to Listen

Listening is the first spiritual discipline.
Silence becomes an invitation.
Noise no longer satisfies.
The soul leans inward.
God is not loud.
God does not compete.
The world shouts.
Spirit whispers.
You learn to slow your thoughts.
To sit without answers.
To wait without urgency.
Listening requires humility.
It requires surrender of control.
Stillness reveals patterns.
Intuition strengthens.
Peace replaces confusion.
Listening feels uncomfortable at first.
The ego resists quiet.
But persistence softens resistance.
Guidance arrives subtly.
Through feeling.
Through alignment.
Through clarity.
You stop forcing direction.
You start receiving it.
Listening teaches trust.
It teaches patience.
It teaches dependence on something higher.
God speaks through calm.
Through conviction.
Through inner knowing.
Listening becomes prayer.
Prayer becomes relationship.
The soul learns discernment.
Not every voice is truth.
Stillness reveals which is.
Listening becomes obedience.
And obedience becomes peace.
