A Pearl’s Protection

The world is my oyster
The veil mine
The pearl i am
The pearl am, i

A sanctuary to slip away from the glare of society’s so-called gaze and to elude from its shame
The world is my oyster she said
But I claimed the veil as my own
Is it shameful to look at yourself in a way others do
Is it frowned upon to change yourself in a way others do
Even when the change feels phenomenal

I found it hallowed, I found it new, pleasing
The world remains their oyster
So i changed in the defiance of others
I endured in spite of others
I am pleased behind a facade
One so meticulous you can't define it

The world is my oyster i said
However i mourn the lack of adequate to be the pearl
The shining pearl, protected from the habitual pressure and
the suffocating air of proprieties

The world is my oyster
The veil is mine
The pearl i am
The pearl, am i

My habitual pressure

The habitual pressure
The kind of reassurance we need, dream yet fear
Gain it all they say
Bring it home they say
Bring what
I’ve got nothing
Nothingness describing my melancholy

My habitual pressure

The equality we bow before each other yet
We speak of unspoken rules
It’s different for me
It’s the same to them
Cornered to the same absurd reason everyday
Coming to a point where
Emptiness is my stay

They’re habitual pressure

One they can live with
One they can ignore
One that’s such a facade
I swear on the darkest minds
That they won’t even know the simplest definition of it

The habitual pressure

Either the death of me or the scale I’m slowly climbing
My and I say loud my

Habitual pressure

The Descent

Oh, no have I fallen into the
ones I despise the most
The vitriol and apathy
Those who were already there when I came
Those who I cannot seem to exile
Yet my constant need for notice
My constant need for clarity for
care, help, for solace, the basics

Oh, no have I been swallowed
By the insults and ignorance
So much I wouldn’t even be able to tell between
compliments and insults

Which is which I ask myself
The days still counting
I ask the void again
Which is which
Because it cannot be
That their intent is so stark
That a line draws itself
To a point where i cannot repel the malice
 I cannot fight the mean
The loved ones, the ones
who’s image looks so normal
Mine looks delusional

Oh, no I see now
It’s no question
I have fallen
Oh, no
I can’t get up now can I
I can’t get up
Oh, no

Flicker

Flicker… As light sounds
Go to sleep with the branches snap
The fire sizzles in fury of the night
The wind howls as they clap

Flicker…For the joyous creak
A happiness none of you speak
The greek fire shall be your future
Yet we ignore the flickers weak

Flicker….Like the napalm
The one we used for war
The one who shall set the bomb
Be calm they say
Then they're the first one at of the door

Flicker…As they wake up
In fear, horror, a feeling we can't tell
We must help those in need
Those children in need
And yet we wish them farewell

Flicker…Call them the greek fire
Say they light the spark
Those children, our future
Keep it all in the dark

Flicker…We shall speak for them
We shall stand
We shall do anything but die
And talk, and move
But we’ll float in their destiny
All in their bright sky

Flicker….The fire burns out
The bomb goes out
The spark is gone
And so is our doubt

Hey, i say

Hey, i say with joy
Oh to have an answer back
One with so much sense
Hey, i say boy
I then stand in the corner
As i watch
All of them go out of the world
I watched like a foreigner
And waited until they all whirled and swirled

Atlantic blues washing over, dancing to sound
Flying in the sky oh, the good feeling
Of all them being clowned
A stick of delusion
A feeling of disgust
But oh, such a taste of
of sweet trust

Hey, i say again
This time less energy
 and more angst
This has to stop i say
All ignoring me like dancing in the rain

Why so comfortable
Why did i have to know
Or see i could have left
 I could have forgot
But no i lead to theft

As i took the stick of joy
Went outside threw it across the floor
They run after it like running from
the waves of Atlantic blues
But for them it's the same
They're fantasy cruise
Is my reality frame

I stay away now
But boy, if i could go back
To unsee what i saw
I would take a vow
A pact, whatever it take
to get them back
