Lauren Helmer Poem
Black and white are you Milo.
Wearing your tuxedo fur,
like no other.
You stand alone.
What a presence,
with such simplicity.
Your strength and neediness
says so much.
Remember me
more than the faults.
I chose you as you chose me.

Lauren Helmer Poem
Yes it was him,
the man from my prophecy
born from starvation.
The trees danced
as he disappeared, and reappeared.
Flying discs spoke his birth
as I angrily begged him to stay.
I was so desperate almost to death.
He came at his own time.
Will I?

Lauren Helmer Poem
It's time
time to close.
It has been too long
this chapter.
I must breathe.
Now I must choose differently.
Desperate words,
and long drawn slumbers
no more.
Enough.

Lauren Helmer Poem
How you speak through me.
What restless truth you are.
The shifts in your shape,
Oh how God only knows.
Make me better now.
Move in me.
Make me..move again.
I need this change.
This is my chance.
Even if it means your howl
I know it won't break me.
Only growth comes from the ghost.

Lauren Helmer Poem
Black water sinks down.
Pushes my body, and faith.
You said something in the moon.
Just us.
Then the tide turned me 'round.
