Daisy

From a great distance,
my heart still skipped a beat
at the drip of your voice
into my longing ears.
I felt you vividly,
caught a glimpse of that exquisite face of yours,
only to learn it was fantasy
Still, I hold gratitude
Daisy,
one certain day
our roads will cross,
and I will not know what to do,
for you are not mine.

EVERYONE SAW THAT I WON

Soon after the whistle blew,
When the race was over,
And my toes crossed the finish line,
The contest had reached its end.
When all the results were gathered,
The winner stood clearly before them
And the glory was his to claim.

Everyone longs to be a winner,
To taste the triumph
They believed I carried.
I can’t deny it
Everyone saw that I won.

Yet deep inside,
I lost like a battle.
How can a victor feel this way?
How can triumph turn to sorrow?
How can winning leave you blue?

Unfortunately… unfortunately,
Everyone saw that I won.

TELL MY MOM

Tell my mom,
Let her know
I’m not the jovial son she used to know.
Admit it sleep has become my enemy.

Tell her
That these so called love relationships
Have dragged me into depression,
Again and again.
Let her know
I never truly smile anymore.
What she sees is just a mask I wear.
I lost myself long ago,
No longer interested in anything.
Burned out, I’m…

PINING

An indoor life, on my way,
glimpsing nirvana slipping away, cacophonous mind.

Only you as therapy,
to sword off overthinking
and purge the insomnia.
These eyes long to gaze that rare soul, craving for my sight to mingle with yours, Amarinah.

From your kiss,
I contract lovesickness;
Is your desire to see me bleed born out of your love?

Tell My Mom II

Away from home,
I miss my mom, my brothers.
I pardon myself for the choice I made
life isn’t the same
as it used to be there.
From dawn to dusk, I starve
Don’t weep for me
I had to hold the sword
until the cessation.
I will be there, I will.
We will rejoice once more.

YOU WERE FINALLY AT HOME

So, you were finally at home,
With your family once again.
After all the roads your heart had taken,
Through thick and thin,
Through the illusions of life,
And all the choices it had laid before you.
You chose tranquility, despite the loneliness that came with it.
You chose to be yourself.

Finally at home, you learned to find joy
In the little that was on the table,
Rather than having more on the table
While living a life filled with despondency.

Bertha Eight ,A preface for Bertha Eight

Your love came at a snail’s pace
And left at a cheetah’s speed.
I thought I had healed,
Only to find myself back in trauma.
I returned to my indoor life after you left,
Solitude resting on my shoulder.
I still don’t know why you chose to abandon me
My heart still aches.

SUFFERING

What is life
If it is not suffering?
And to avoid suffering
Is to avoid life itself.

Suffering
Physically tortured,
Mentally afflicted;
An inevitable pattern.

People inflict suffering on others,
Yet when alone,
We bear our own.
We suffer for ourselves.

Life is all about suffering
To find something
Worth suffering for.

THE OTHER SIDE

Though I'm not with you
I can feel your proximity
Today upon waking up
Your voice was the first
To be heard by my ears
Indeed I feel tranquil
In the afternoon
I witness the rain
And recall you "Amarinah"
Our bond is strong

KNOCKING

As morning comes
My love for you
Grows as seed
In the vwaza marsh

You are the shining star
In the midnight
You bring happiness to my life
As your love is sharp as knife
Give me a piece of your heart
I will never make it hurt
Have peace in your heart
It will not be the end but the start

As the sunshines
Dew goes
But I will stay here
Knocking

[TO THE DEAR]
