2026

Why does the year start with regret?
Doing better is never a bet.
I always lose
no matter what I choose
the plans go to waste
and bitterness I can taste.

What did I do in 2025?
Where are the goals for me to thrive?
Erased mid-year,
erased by my tears
too sad to try
too honest to lie.

So, what do I do next?
The choice is always complex.
Right now I shrink
not ready to think
ignoring resolutions
they aren’t the solution.

Should I try again on the first?
Though that could be worse.
Seeing everybody’s brains
trying to change
but day by day
it’s all the same.

Old Becomes New

When I started my life anew
Old pain tried to slash my heart through
With distance between us I knew
It won’t leave a scar.
I heard your voice, that cherished sound
But didn’t want to turn around
Many regrets piled on the ground
And yet here we are.
