Cake, Stake

"I made you cake, follow me into the garden, there are flowers and birds that will steal away your ache" she said, softly and not with a single grain of uncertainty or a hint in her voice that it'd be fake.

"Come on come now, give me your hand.. you’re my friend, your pain now, I promise I will end."

I give in... (To the temptation)

Our footwork turned to clockwork, as we walked beside each other in total harmony, like a dance, like an eight-limbed creature, but one of us is a vulture, drawn to agony. Born from tragedy, undergone tyranny for so long... Committed every felony.

This gate is the only thing that separates us from our fate now, I’m without patience let’s cross it, you’ll be safe. I have to see how, your body quivers, under pressure, your leg could snap, over my arm like a dry bough. I will protect you that I vow.

But your life you must endow…

Must surrender. So I smiled, "Do you need a hand?"
"You’re very kind…”
"Only for you." But I beguiled.

We reach the spot at last, "It’s breathtaking don’t you think?"
"I'm hungry..."
"Oh you don’t be so fast, look around… it’s poetic. A place only you could have found." The red and white checkered cloth flew over my head, waves rippled through it, time stopped, I was hypnotized, wrapped tight and thrown onto my bed. It eclipsed the sun and then brought it back.

"Now sit down, dear, look at how the clouds aligned for us, you’re enjoying this–is clear." She smiled, "Have a taste of the cake I baked for you, it is your favorite, here. Let your worries fade away. I am here to stay."

"You are... forever."
"Forever…"
"Forever." The blood seeped down slow and warm, from the stake driven in her heart that I twist, and turn to inflict incredible harm. Dripping on the cloth we were seated on. I grab your face with both hands and pull you closer upon, we fall on our side our eyes meet, yours brimming with anguish and mine with ecstasy of your epic defeat. "You thought I loved you, you thought your life was complete. None of it was true, I was lying all along, everything you believed is wrong. Watch it crumble before your eyes, watch it all fall apart. I lifted you up to heaven now your journey to hell must depart."

The sun bathes me nice and warm… I could just close my lids for a while… am I crying? I wonder why... I am feeling heavy, then I brush over my eye. Red... It must be her blood, she is soon going to die. She looked at me sly and traced her fingers across my face, as she whispered... "Bye-bye".

Monster

Scales interspersed my skin, enrobed my flesh, hardened it, within a mesh. I come close to kiss you, but it binds me still, and you walk away, and I hobble up the hill. One foot follows the other=feigns, I must catch you before it wanes. The fog between us has grown so dense, and my body with it all so tense, my steps slow down yours speeding=out of my sight, now. What immense fright...

I falter on my knees, near to naught, nigh to my knife, and I cut me, and the blood runs so rife, a gate opens but I don't recall I have its keys, but it doesn't end my life.

I clenched my teeth and pulled each foul flake from underneath, and freed myself but now I seek=her until she's meek, until she's weak...

I walk with my chest up, then I see her clear, I walk toward her, and her voice I hear, “I've come for you my precious dear”, I said as I smiled from ear to ear. I held her mere but she flailed from fear. Then she froze in fear. And I sank my fangs in her,

as I dropped a single tear.

Liberation

Sitting down, face set like a flint, I was afraid to make God frown, a beam of light pierced my crown...

Flipped my world upside down...

Claimed to be satan but it wasn't a demon of any renown.

Lunged toward me with a sword, sharp edged, gleams like gold, "I just want to break your mold", she said, she etched, those words in my memory,
I called it bold.

I had no choice, I drew my blade, I pray that God will be my aid. Clash! And I saw a flash, it was not a nightmare. Bash! My lungs were not robbed of air. Truth rang with every slash, "is it you I have to thrash?"

I was cornered then alas. I closed my lids, I gave her the pass. Kill me now, let my soul transpass.

Her silence echoes like thunder, as she buried her sword in my chest. End me, now put me to rest.

But the heavens did not claim my heart that night, clattering of chains that once bound me, held me, ever so tight, is what they got, from me that night.

My delight...

I have a secret I cannot tell you
A deed that once done I cannot undo
But one that as long as I do not issue
I do not truly have, I understand, too.

I swallow, every once and then
I say, time and time again
But not to the one for whom I yearn.

I hold you, in my arms and admire
Your familiar eyes that inspire
Something foreign in me, a certain fire.

And then there is your scent that in every hour
Invades me like a vine,
But is there a more welcome guest than a flower
Unlike any flower, perhaps divine.

But wholly aware, I am
That even angels kill, and ruthlessly slam,
Sometimes unaware.

So I hope it does not turn dire.

It is not your beauty alone that captures me entire.

For there is your soul that robs me
Of every wrong, and enrobes me
In garments of gold, without wanting
To cast a mold, which I honestly always found daunting.

I witnessed it whenever it escaped you
In a prodigious brilliance or a silly laugh,
It never failed to make me pause before I continue.

I do not know how you could be,
Nor why your demons dance with me.

But I can tell you,

I have never loved one like you.

aend

My arm I extend across to you toward the other end, will you hold my hand?
My heart writes songs for you, are you going to attend?
My eyes speak to you, do you comprehend?

Forgive me, I did not intend...

To my wounds I shall tend.

You were a dream, but I was one who could not apprehend.

Raindrops

Droplets fell on my skin, rhythmically, from an unmeasurable height.
My hair stood up, but not out of fright.
I stayed still, and that marked the end of the night.
It didn't erode my soul, but solaced my spite.

The Love Monster

An amalgamation of the five senses
I am lying in a field of flowers, between four others
That was not supposed to be multiple colors
But so long to the fences
I speak a language that has forgotten its three tenses

My eyes are still two but they no longer blink
For the same reason as others do
The lashes will interlink
Merely to capture you

My pupils are like blades
Stacked on top of each other, in a centreless circle
They sync when you come my way
Only to spiral
Whenever your figure fades
When you wave your hand, as you walk away

You changed the function of my brain, it no longer thinks, it can no longer retain
One thread of reason, when a thought of you is bound to reign
I do not complain

It became a fiction weaver
Of pleasure and pain
It calculates no equation, it processes no information
How could it when I am afflicted with such a fever
That I do not remain

I am dead, my heart does not beat
To the same tune as others
It does not eat, from the same spoon as two brothers do
It does not drink from the same red lagoon

It pumps blood when it feels your heat
And you would know if it has ever stopped beating
For you would not have these words which you are reading
Flood you with warmth from your head to your feet

My skin is a hot mesh to keep you warm
It stings my flesh like lightning in a storm
But do not be afraid, I have sworn an oath
That if it ever harmed you, I would walk forth
Onto a hearth, and into ash it shall transform

My fingertips leak ink whenever I think of somebody who
Could be terrified at the sight they witness
Someone so beautiful as to never inspire ugliness

I am a beautiful monstrosity through and through.

The Sea Waltz

You have to be hyper aware in waltz,
of the other person's feet.
To detect the slightest hint of movement.
To adjust your body,
before the wave shows teeth.
To dance around it,
lest it crash,
and you, underneath.
It crushes your chest,
and pulls you beneath.
It might put you to rest,
but leaves nothing to bequeath.
