Alexander Zervas Poem
From the first breath IT ever took,
till the last day IT was still of life,
IT and Him were always one.
Together they loved, cried, and screamed,
feeling each other's pain like their own.
IT and Him were always one,
having a feeling of completion, joy,
and never-ending love.
However, one day IT met That—
a dark, mysterious thing That was.
He loved the smell of blood and tears,
giving IT a lemon tree, hoping to deceive IT.
IT was thrilled, happy for now,
forgetting all about Him
and their long-lasting relationship.
He slowly grabbed a lemon to eat,
with That watching vividly.
The second he bit the lemon, though,
he fell—
Fell from love, joy, and freedom,
ending up in the valley of hate,
tears, and misery.

Alexander Zervas Poem
Every morning that he rises
He picks up his shield with a smile upside down
The shield is heavier than all the tanks it has stopped
For it carries the weight of every world he's sworn to protect
He hates the shield
He sees it as a burden
An invitation to be killed
A chance to get shot once more
Depressed or not
There has never been a day he didn't lift the shield up
He lifts it up no matter what
Determined to save the life of another man
The shield is a symbol
A flag that represents
Not the fights he has gone through
Nor the victories he has seen
But the courage it takes, to lift that god damn shield UP!

Alexander Zervas Poem
If I could go back, I’d return to the quiet moment I told myself I have time.
I’d kill that thought entirely,
remind myself that now is the youngest I will ever be.
That lie has sat on my chest like a dumbbell for years—
too heavy to lift, too late to drop—
and all I can do now is push through the weight
of the mistake that reshaped me.

Alexander Zervas Poem
They said it could not be done,
No one dared, not even one.
The jump was death, the risk too high,
A feat no man would dare to try.
Then came a fool from far away,
With no fear to guide him, he leapt anyway.
He ran, he soared, he touched the ground,
Turning his ignorance into a crown.

Alexander Zervas Poem
Horses gallop through my mind
They don't stop they just rewind
Piano keys play lullabies in my dreams
Logic’s tossed into the bin
Love's a game I’ll never win
But I’m diving headfirst in
Or so it seems
I wait for eleven eleven
To whisper wishes to the sky
Love's made me crazy
Can’t you see
She’s the only equation I believe
If she were math
I’d beat a calculator
She’s the answer I’ll solve sooner or later
My little heart
It sparkles bright
Like city lights in the dead of night
Thinking of her makes my thoughts combust
I’m not the same
I’ve lost control
She’s the melody that fills my soul
Love’s a mess but trust me
It’s a must

Alexander Zervas Poem
To master thyself is to feel every tide without being swept away,
to let your emotions rise and fall
while you remain steady on your path
ever happy, ever sad, yet the result unchanged no matter what.
