The Weight Of The Winter Snow

Long before my petals and my roots rot
I find myself sinking in the soil with the memories I forgot
The cold snow towers above me leaving me buried and alone
This place I await frozen is my temporary home
May someone find me one day and bring me new life
But for now I wither away and out of everyone's sight
The world does not know I even exist beyond a warm spring day
After all is said and done I crumble to nothing and fade away

The Quiet Burden

I am so alone yet too full of myself inside
my thoughts scream at me constantly leaving me nowhere to hide
I feel I break everything I go near, would it be better if I disappeared?
Would they be smiling? Would they be glad? Am I really just a weight on everyone I have?
A burden to them and a burden to me, maybe alone is really what I'm meant to be.
I have no right to the sunshine or even a warm hug, I will slowly fade away in this cold hole I've dug.
May you find a happier place without my dark cloud, maybe it's better that I'm no longer around.

A Misery Shared

I feel the chill of her marble hands gripping tight around my heart, She breathes pain and spits misery upon all who surround her.
Her eyes like hollow vessels like a vase abandoned by its flowers.
Her soul is lost within time and picked clean by the vultures of sorrow.
She embraces me.
She accepts me.
She is me.
I am her.

Wandering Home

The cold air goes through me like a ghost
The shrieking of the wind through the bare trees is sharp
The flakes of snow land softly on my face but quickly melt leaving behind only a droplet of water that flows down my face blending with my tears
I've been wandering endlessly trying to find my home
My thoughts blank and my head silently hollow
Where is home? What is home?

A light in the far distance breaks through the flakes of snow
It feels like the light is warmly pulling me in like a familiar hug
I feel my eyes calm yet focused
The sound of my heartbeat fills my ears
A path laid before me
A path called Home

Hollowed Home

My fingers have become numb from writing about my pain, this notebook has become my solitude, something to keep me sane.
My soul feels so thin and on the verge of empty, caused by the hurt of all those that left me.
Maybe I'll find some place where I can feel the warmth again, but my question is not only where but also when?
Maybe I should accept this sad, hollowed home, a place I've grown to hate and always feel so alone.

The Void

Grief washes over me like a ocean wave
I’m like a sandcastle, I can be beautiful, but within a second i can be destroyed
Each grain of me silently sinks into the watery void below
The weight of the water pulls me down like regrets
The darkness consumed everything in its sight
The silence cuts deep like harsh rejection
I sit here all alone just waiting
Waiting for nothing
Waiting for more darkness

Home of Coal

The darkness that follows, a shadow on my name, creeps beyond the door of my brains frame.
Within the silent cave were my pain may sleep, a violent volcano and my heart it keeps.
The bubbling lava waiting to erupt, an escape from this world I see as corrupt.
My words may seem empty to a hollowed soul, so I shall remain in my home of coal.
